Restaurant Check-In Garden — Restaurant in Mtskheta

The temperature was eager to reach zero and the droplets of rain were keen to give me extra shiver, all I wanted was a hot cup of coffee and I saw a Persian cat at a doorstep of a restaurant on the street of Gamsakhurdia (Mtskheta) welcoming us.

As we entered, the host showed us the way towards basement. and that was the best thing anyone did to me on that day.

For me that basement was an Art. The dim lights.. The decorations.. it was a scenic view and a delight to my eyes. No doubt the ambience was totally poetic.

we ordered Coffee and Pie.

I would not say it was the best coffee I ever had but I must say that every sip of that coffee and every bite of that pie were complementing the aroma of that place. I was in Heaven at that moment.

Would like to visit this place again someday. Would like to spend few more time there. Would like to explore more of their menu.

I liked the outside garden of this restaurant and the atmosphere. What I didn't like is that it took about 15 minutes for our waiter to arrive after we were seated and given the menu. I had to get up and go look for him/her. The couple that was seated right after us was served within 5 minutes... As for the food, the pizza was great, and so were the beans. The Greek salad was not good. The lettuce was not fresh for sure, it started going brown and they still served it to us. The waitress couldn't name what was inside some salads. Maybe it was a language barrier or maybe she just didn't know. Overall, it was good. Not great. We won't be back...

Nice cozy place. Old woman who is greeting isn’t very smiley/positive. Waiters aren’t so knowledgeable about the ingredients of the plates or how they come like. Trout fish was good and fries as well. Spaghetti with tomato wasn’t that good, it’s basically boiled spaghetti with some boiled tomatoes on top and a sprinkle of cheese. They charged us the price of bread 3 laris and they charged a VERY SMALL bit of ketchup 3 LARIS! Without telling us it’s charged! It’s the first restaurant we go to that charges that - not nice and too much for barely 2...
