An abysmal experience at this establishment!
We ordered chicken biryani, biryani rice, chole bhature. Only reason we didnt order more was because they didnt have anything else available due to proclaimed shortage of staff. The prices looked exorbitant but we ordered regardless as we expected the portion sizes to be reflective of the price. However, this was far from the truth.
The bowl of biryani we received was smaller than my palm and could barely serve one person for the price of GEL 21.6 as of Oct 2025 and it was made in a way that tasted more of like a curry mixed with boiled rice and chicken than biryani where the rice and chicken is cooked together.
The chick peas in the chole were almost raw and it felt that the chick peas were not soaked for enough time hence felt them crumbling in my mouth rather than the soft texture as it is supposed to have.
The bhatura was rolled into thick dough and the inside was neither cooked nor was it fluffy as you would expect of a bhatura.
The ambience is decent and you get private booths which is a plus. The wait staff is great and helpful. However, the management looked resentful of my feedback that I provided and it seems that it has fallen on deaf ears.
If you are in Tblisi and absolutely have no other option for a halal meal, its only under those conditions I would recommend...
Read moreI had a very good experience at Taste of India. The restaurant is clean with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Before coming here, I had tried another South Indian restaurant nearby which was extremely disappointing - but this place was a pleasant surprise! This restaurant is 200m away from episode hotel.
I initially ordered Indian tea and samosas. Even the way they served it reflected the quality and care they put into their food. After this good first experience, I came back again in the evening and tried the biryani and fried chicken - both were quite good as well.
In comparison to other Indian restaurants in the area, this is definitely one of the best. I noticed some manipulated negative reviews online, which honestly don’t match my experience here. The food tastes fresh, prices are very pocket-friendly, and the service was polite.
One small point to mention - it took about 15-20 minutes to get our tea and samosas served. But apart from that, everything else was really good.
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for good Indian food...
Read moreThere were a number of choices for us when we were in Tbilisi for Indian food and based on the reviews we selected Taste of India for our dinner. We were a group of 8 and we faced no difficulties in reserving our booking. The very courteous staff rearranged the tables to accommodate us. The menu itself offered almost everything possible in Indian cuisine and we were spoilt for choice. Alongwith local beers and Jal Jeera we ordered a variety of vegetarian starters. The Pakodas, masala papads and peanuts reminded us of home. The main courses of Methi Malai Mattar, Channa Masala, Alu Jeera and Dal Tadka with Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naans were made and served to perfection. The Gulab Jamun was not too sweet. Over all a very satisfying dinner at a very reasonable price. The excellent service was topped up with a helpful gesture of ordering our taxis to return back to our hotel. Any day a restaurant that I would recommend for everyone yearning for an Indian...
