A Poor Man's Killian's...
It claims to be Irish owned yet the owner is never around plus they haven't a single member of Irish staff. Very disappointing for a pub that claims to be "authentic". No live music, etc.
My biggest gripes are the prices of the food. It's unacceptable for what's essentially "pub grub". The quality of the food is decent but the prices are outrageous.
The Guinness is the biggest letdown. The heads are too thick and bubbly, the glasses are often greasy and the taste is just off. Sometimes there's a squiggly line on the head (I'm guessing it's a Shamrock) This is cute but honestly, I would prefer a pint that's been poured correctly into a clean glass. There are much better alternatives in Augsburg and Munich for a good pint of stout.
I've been here a couple of times now and haven't had any bad experiences with the staff. They're all very friendly but seem very complacent at times. Almost as if they don't want to be there. When it's busy, they have a habit of disappearing... so I would only recommend coming here on a quiet night.
Not the worst Irish pub, it's just...
Read moreI ordered a full Irish breakfast last Sunday (15/02). A few people in the pub but not mad busy . Sat down at least 20/25 mins before being able to order... Waiter was ok, polite . Then another 15 min wait and come the orange juice and coffee . Orange juice was in a champagne glass . Was ridiculously little. Coffee was not filtered coffee and was a small cup with milk and sugar. Another 15 mins later come finally the breakfast. Big disappointment: 2 sausages the size of a nurnberg sausage. Bean portion ok, bacon ok , one egg 2 toast with butter and jam.... All for nearly 15 euros. For this price you would expect at least decent size sausage, orange juice in a normal glass and unlimited filtered coffee. Not say how long you have to wait to get served . Don't Come hungry as you might drop down dead before you get served ! Will not come back again, not good...
Read moreSuch potential but service sadly let's it down. First off, I'm offered the only available seat at the bar. 7pm on a Friday. It's fine. I sit and wait 15 minutes to order my drink, a pint. A further 5 minutes to get the drink. At this point, I ask if I can order food as I've downloaded the menu from a Q code. 30 minutes later I order my meal. The food was great. The drink was great. Tables around me were getting irate as service was so bad. One guy behind the bar (pony tail) was excellent, one girl on the floor, quite inexperienced in my opinion. Now, the place is seriously filling up. More floor staff appear as does another barman. All appear to be experienced but too little too late. The length of the bar was constantly filled with dirty glasses. Conclusion, a bar with great potential with seriously bad leadership from its owners. Staff can...
