Bar Amélie is Berlin cocktail heaven with a funky soul!
From the moment you walk in, Bar Amélie grabs you with its bold, funky vibe and warm, welcoming energy. The space is effortlessly cool, but it’s the people and the drinks that truly make it unforgettable. The team is not only super friendly but absolutely masters of their craft—you can see (and taste!) their passion in every cocktail they shake or stir.
We tried a few drinks from the classics menu and they were outstanding. The Old Fashioned was smooth, deep, and perfectly balanced—pure cocktail perfection. The Ruby Sour with mezcal, Aperol, lime juice, and strawberry syrup was a knockout: smoky, citrusy, and just the right touch of sweetness. And the Manhattan was elegant, and beautifully stirred. Easily one of the best we’ve had in Berlin.
This bar gets everything right—creative drinks, classic execution, amazing service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay all night. If you love a well-made drink and a good time, Bar Amélie is an...
Read moreWaited under the snow for 50+ minutes for the two of us to be seated at this place, which seemed to be worth it when we made our way in (ambience was great). Our experience quickly turned bitter once the rude waitress asked us to get up from our nice seats with the bar view and seated us in front of some ugly storage door at some dark corner full of loud drunktards. She continued to ask if our new seats are ok, but having refused to seat us anywhere else until an actual group she so impatiently waiting for arrives, we had no choice to say “no, but we obviously don’t have much of a choice”. In the end, we decided we don’t want to pay 16 euros a cocktail to look at some ugly old door, so we left, which they were so happy about. But, in hindsight, they really shouldn’t be. They didn’t just lose the 48 euros we would’ve spent on drinks, they lost about 200 euros because a lot of other couples were denied entry as we queued for so long. So enjoy this loss. 2-stars for the fun chat we had with the...

We were looking for something a little more low key on a Saturday night and we found this little gem.
It is a dimly lit spot with great cocktails. We ordered three cocktails - a PC lemonade, a version of their negronis and a third I can’t remember the name but the description was “strong and fruity”. All the cocktails were awesome. They had a whole page on a selection of different nigronis so if that’s your drink, this is your spot!
Overall we had a great time here. The music was perfect too, upbeat and laid back at the same time (if that makes sense). We were looking for something more low key and this was perfect. This is the spot for you if you’re looking for after dinner cocktails or if you’re looking to start your night with a few cocktails before moving to another spot to take...
