I had went for a pre-departure dinner with a party of 8 last week. Two of the fellow members of said party had already left poor reviews for this resteraunt, but management replied to those reviews with twisted events of the truth which has prompted me to leave a review as well. We came in to the restaurant and were told that they were “cash only” because of a malfunction with their card reader, to which we politely said we have no cash. Suddenly, the waiter said the card reader Does in fact work, which makes me think about the integrity of the staff for tax purposes. Then came the food. I had located a thick curly hair in my bolognese, wrapped it up in a napkin and set it to the side. Mistakes happen. However, another guest in my party found two more hairs in her chicken dish. After forking around my pasta looking for any other hairs, I found a fruit fly and this is when we stopped eating. Prior, we had requested Parmesan cheese from the waiter and had waited for him to return, which he never did. After returning 20 minutes later (with no Parmesan), he asked how the food was, and we told him that while the food was not bad, it was ruined by the sights of multiple hairs and a fruit fly. The waiter IMMEDIATELY took away our plates that had the evidence on them. In their replies to my parties’ reviews, they mention that we had complained about hair and bugs only after plates had been cleared, but this was not the case. The waiter deliberately took our plates prior to getting his boss involved, so as to discredit any of our statements. We mentioned that we did not want any issues, and that we would just like to inform them of our experience. This was met with patronizing responses, accusing us of trying to lie (even though we did not ask for anything in return at this point). The boss also touched my shoulder, to which I asked him not to do this, and in turn was called “problematic” with “bad behavior”. Before realizing that a member of my party was a German native that knew the language, the manager involved had called her a “b*h” in German. We were told to go back to America, and the resolution after a 30 minute argument consisting of being ridiculed by the wait staff and gaslighted by the manager, the meals with the hairs were comped. Not to mention, the waiter was picking at his lip skin while leaning over our table. It is not a sanitary environment at all. The manager then asked us to please not leave any...

I cannot stress this enough: do not waste your time or money at this place. Berlin is full of incredible restaurants, and this is absolutely not one of them.
From the moment we made our reservation, things started going downhill. The restaurant insisted we pre-order overpriced platters and sparkling water "to ensure we had food upon arrival." In reality, this was nothing more than a sneaky way to tack on extra service charges before we even sat down.
When we did arrive, we were met with rude, surly staff who made us feel like an inconvenience for simply being there. No smiles, no warmth—just cold, passive-aggressive attitudes the entire time.
We waited far too long for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was late, unimpressive, and absolutely not worth the price. The so-called platters were sparse, bland, and underwhelming.
Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I had such a hostile dining experience. If you're looking to spend your evening being ignored, overcharged, and disrespected, by all means, go. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and skip this place entirely. There are so many amazing spots in Berlin—this is not one of them.

Read moreI tried their vegan curry wurst (I’m not actually vegan but I don’t like pork so fancied giving it a go). It wasn’t actually that bad - got 3 wurst’s,plenty of fries and a side salad. May be a little over priced but never mind!
What let the restaurant down was the service from the staff. I went there by myself just be chance. The waiter allowed me to sit where I wanted which was nice and came over promptly to take my order. I found their waitress a bit rude and after telling her what I wanted to have, she told me it was cash only. I did ask if they took card and was told they preferred cash ( luckily I had enough cash on me to cover my food/drink).
Neither the waiter or waitress asked how the meal was and at the end of me finishing, I could see the, chatting to each other within just a few feet for me and twice they looked and stared at me and didn’t bother coming over to see if I was done. It wasn’t until the 3rd time they stared at me, when I made the point of getting up did and started to ask about paying, did they actually start to make notice. Again nothing about offering card payment so handed over the cash and left.
Overall, nice food, just don’t expect a high level of customer service...
