DISHONEST REVIEWS
How, you ask, does a restaurant in a shopping mall that has been only open a few days get 1300 five-star reviews on Google?
Very easy: it buys them.
A trick that is quite modern. But sadly their treatment of modern customers, many of whom do not eat meat, is not.
The restaurant has had a promotion since its opening that promises a meal for one euro if the customer gives a five-star rating on Google. Right here, what you are looking at.
When I went to see, there was a line of over 70 people, on a Tuesday at 2:30pm. The trick is you can only order the day's special, and it was beef; I am a vegetarian, and the special is without meat only on certain days. However there is no way to find out what the special is online, and no one answers the contact given on this page (I tried for several days), either by phone, WhatsApp or SMS, just in case this would risk happening. If I had known in advance that I could not eat the food I would not have gone. Even if paying full price why would I want to stand in line for an hour with people who were only there to get the discount to eat at full price?
When I explained I had already traveled an hour to try the special deal, they offered me plain boring noodles with no topping (there is tofu or eggplant on other days) instead, which is almost worse than giving me nothing, since the whole menu, including vegetarian/vegan options, is otherwise available. Plain noodles.
In fact the first employee told me to come back the next day when the special would be vegetarian and it's only because he sent me to a manager that I found out that that isn't even true and that the vegetarian offer is on another day completely. I have already forgotten which, and neither care nor trust it to be true.
Also it occurs to me that there is no way the restaurant is getting the five-star reviews after people eat the food because with that many customers people could easily walk away without paying so they must be paying first, before they even taste it.
So, while I cannot vouch for the quality of the shopping mall food - at the same prices as a "real "restaurant - I can tell you that the positive ratings were not...
Read moreWe came, we ate (a lot!) and we conquered lots of carbs afterwards. 😁
Everything we ordered tasted so good that we are planning to come back soon to taste other noodle soups and baos.
Baos were so soft, fluffy and yummy. The noodles were freshly hand-pulled and cooked right in front of us while we were waiting for our turn to order (it was a long line btw and we had to wait for more than half an hour for our turn).😅 Their €1 opening promo was a blockbuster hit. And take note!!! 👆That one euro noodle soup was not just broth with a strand of noodle.. It was served in a big bowl as you see the picture.. It tasted so rich and so good, too bad they don't have spoons left at that time.. I would have loved to sip the broth and not let it go to waste😅🍜.. I forgot I paid only 1 euro for that. Tasted like they could charge me €15 for that bowl and I would still be happy to pay for...
Read moreThis is a really nice change of eatery amongst all those Chinese restaurants which require you to sit down for a long time and spent a certain amount of money. We wanted to have a nice quick lunch somewhat substantial and refreshing. We ordered those gorgeous big dumplings which are quite big and filling as well as fresh as anything you would expect. I also ordered a nice beef soup with those homemade noodles quite large and wide which is supposed to be their specialty. Everything was very fresh and tasty especially the broth and the beef which was just falling apart in your mouth. My child definitely enjoyed those noodles . Highly recommend this place and we...
