CURRYWALA Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

I respectfully disagree with their statement of 'The most authentic food in Berlin', which does not hold true in any way. The current situation is different from how it was originally when it was first introduced. There was a time when I used to go here often and I myself would have recommended this restaurant to so many people who were looking for a good Indian restaurant here.I am sorry to say that things have changed and it is no longer the same. The entire team has been replaced, including the amazing cook who used to cook here. Despite this, I have visited this place 2-3 times hoping that my previous bad experience was a one-time occurrence, but unfortunately, I have continued to have disappointing experiences. The paneer here was not as fresh and soft as it should have been; it was rather hard and stale. The chicken and lamb in the biryani were severely overcooked and it seemed they were not concerned about it at all. I am particularly anxious about foreign individuals who have a deep appreciation for Indian cuisine and visit here with high hopes of enjoying authentic dishes. I worry that they may be disappointed with the food they are served and develop a negative perception of our excellent cuisine. However, I want to assure you that the food is not meant to be this way at all. It is possible that the location they have chosen to dine at may not represent the true essence...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Currywala, and it was an unforgettable experience! I ordered the Paneer Tikka, Salad, Rice, and it exceeded all my expectations. The dish was a perfect blend of flavors — the paneer was grilled to perfection, with just the right amount of spices, giving it a smoky, rich taste. The salad was fresh and crisp, offering a wonderful contrast to the warm, aromatic rice. Each bite was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors, and the seasoning was on point without being overwhelming. The service at Currywala was exceptional as well ,the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
