Dastoor Restaurant — Restaurant in Berlin

Today, after a lot of searching on delivery apps, I decided to order from Dastoor Restaurant for the first time via Uber Eats. After reviewing their ratings on Google Maps and Uber Eats, I decided to order:

Chicken Tikka Basmati-Reis Portion (as it was not clear on the app if rice was included) Garlic Naan

After almost an hour of waiting and some delay, my order was finally delivered to the meeting point at Berlin Hbf. Upon checking the delivery bag, I was disappointed with the packaging, and there were no utensils like a spoon included. The appearance of the food was also disappointing.

When I unpacked it, the smell and the first taste were really off-putting. As shown in the pictures, the Chicken Tikka was served with slices of tomato, a lot of onions, and paprika, with a small portion of chicken and an unappetizing sauce. Definitely, these chicken pieces do not resemble Chicken Tikka, and I’m not sure what recipe they are working on. I’ve never ever seen a tikka like this.

The taste of the chicken, rice, and even the Naan was really disgusting. Unfortunately, I had to throw it away and continue on my way. I’m baffled at how they have such high reviews if their food consistently tastes like this. I always give the benefit of the doubt, and maybe it just wasn't...

I placed an order here. For Chicken Tandoor, Chana Masala and Bhatura and the order time was 1 hour. Usually such orders should be delivered before time but I waited for 1 hour and they did not deliver. I called them and they said that the order will be delivered within 1 hour as mentioned. I waited for 20 more minutes and the order never came. As I ordered from UberEats, they called the restaurant as well. The restaurant first said that the order has already been delivered to me and upon calling again, said that it will be delivered in the next 10-20 minutes and I had to wait again too. In spite of waiting for an overall 1 hour 40-50 minutes, I never received the order. The staff was though polite to me and cancelled the order from their end. Did not expect this with the reviews they have got. Will not order again or recommend anyone...
