My boyfriend and I were in town last month for work and picked this restaurant based on the great reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience as reflected in these reviews.
Firstly, we ordered our drinks and received one of them wrong (thatâs totally understandable, we are English speaking and had a difficult time communicating).
We then ordered our main dishes: the salmon was fine. The sushi on the other hand was generally plain, not fresh, and the seaweed was so thick you couldnât bite through it. Itâs okay- we understand that not every meal can be excellent, weâre all humans. We figured sushi just wasnât the strength of the restaurant because we noticed none of the locals ordered it.
Thatâs when things got worse.
We waited quite a while for the waitress to take our dessert order: we ordered the lava cake. We then sat there waiting for it for no less than 45 minutes, while our drinks ran out and we watched the waitress focus on a couple tables of friends/locals. When we finally got the dessert, the lava cake was not âlavaâ (it seemed overcooked) and there were frozen berries scattered all over the plate. To be clear: the berries were frozen solid and completely inedible. The only reason we did not send it back was because we just wanted to leave.
When we got up to pay, we attempted to pay with card only to find out they did not take credit cards. However we also tried 3 foreign debit cards (all from the EU), when she asked specifically if we had a special local card we hadnât heard of⌠In total we tried to pay with all the cards in the wallet before having to go find an atm around the corner. To top it all off, she did not trust us to come back after finding the atm, so one of us stayed in the restaurant for assurance (perfectly understandable but nonetheless a terrible end to our meal). She did give us two stale fortune cookies as an apology for the difficulty paying.
Each event of the night can be forgiven in isolation, however when all put together we can reflect that the meal quality and...
Read moreWe just finished enjoying our food (ordered online), and I have to say the food is really exceptionally good. The delivery was fast and well done. Sushi themself are excellent. Perfect rice: seasoned tasty, and with an exactly best texture: it still soaks soy sauce well, but holds shape very good: sushi are easy to grab and eat and they do not fall. The fish is fresh The combination of flavors is perfect. Each and single detail about this sushi is done to perfection, and all together it is so far the best sushi place I have tried in Berlin and surrounding area. We have ordered mostly from 'specialty of the house' menu section, and each item was so delicious. The roll with tempura shrimp wrapped in avocado had really generous amount of wrap, the roll with flambee salmon - one of the best creation about classic salmon avocado roll I've ever tried. Super pleasant and happy to find this quality of food and will definitely...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at an Asian - fusion restaurant, and it was an absolute delight that I cannot wait to share.
As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles from the friendly staff. The interior was beautifully decorated, with a harmonious blend of Asian elements, creating a truly inviting and exotic atmosphere.
I decided to try their noodles, which were nothing short of amazing. The presentation was meticulous. The noodles were cooked to perfection - not too soft and not too hard, with a wonderful chewy texture. The sauce that accompanied them was a symphony of flavors. It was a delicious combination of spices, herbs, and traditional Asian aromatics that tantalized my taste buds from the very first bite. Each component of the dish was so well - balanced that I found myself savoring every...
