I have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is usually not too bad. Sometimes I do have a lousy meal, but I don't even complain because I have to take into account that the prices are cheap and that complaining under those circumstances is not fair. However, the service over the years has been somewhat erratic and patchy. Even that I have been prepared to forgive because, once again, I have to take into account that I'm not eating at the Carlton Hotel. However, tonight I had a particularly unpleasant experience. I was eating there with a group of friends and the service was simply non-existent. I, along with my friends, asked multiple times for another beer. And we asked multiple waiters. We were simply ignored. We asked again and again and again. No response. Eventually, we collectively decided to rather pay and leave. Our original waiter had disappeared and we asked numerous waiters multiple times to bring us the bill. No response. Finally, I walked into the restaurant (we were sitting outside) and found the waiter who had served us (Ali). I asked him if we could please pay. He barely acknowledged me. I went back to our table. Now, after all this bad service, I think it would be fair to say that my temper had reached boiling point. Eventually Ali made his appearance, but not to present us with the bill, but to serve another table. In a very reasonable voice, I called to him to draw his attention. He ignored me. I tried calling him quietly. He ignored me. I tried another 2 or three times. He ignored me even though he had unquestionably heard me. By this time, I lost my temper. I shouted his name out as loudly as I could. In what must be a case study of how not to treat a client, he started shouting back at me and approached my table meacingly with every intent to physically attack me. It required the other waiters to physically restrain him. Then, on top of all that, the other waiters comenced to verbally abuse me because I had had the temerity to shout at their colleague. Considering that the reason for my annoyance had been perfectly justified, I was aghast that they could continue to display such breathtakingly poor client service. As I said at the beginning, I have been patronising this establishment for many years. It is therefore with tremendous sadness that I have to advise people to avoid this restaurant until they start to treat their customers with the respect that...

I just love this restaurant!! My boyfriend used to go here with his family since he was a little boy. And since then, nothing has changed! The same delicious and tasty food, very cheap prices! You pay like 13€ for 400g of a Rumpsteak and it comes on a very hot pan fry - plate? I would call it like that. The quality is definitely higher than the price itself. We ALWAYS get so good and friendly service, they are so nice, it’s like you’re visiting your family to eat steak over and over again. All the food and the sides are really cheap and delicious, you should also always order the bruschetta as a starter, so good! You never leave the restaurant with an empty stomach, rather too full to move afterwards. If you go there with your kids and they don’t want steak? No problem! They also have various other foods like pizza, pasta, etc. a big Oven potato with sour cream for 1,50€!! We always go as a couple there, so for 2 persons we often pay like 40€ but we always order tons of sides and sauces, also the tiramisu which is really really good. At the end you always get a free shot of like Baileys, amaretto etc. on the house. They really know how to keep their guests. I never got any bad service, they really are friendly no matter how stressful it is.

I have ordered a pepper sauce but I got a mushroom sauce. Everything is separated... Rice, sauce, vegetable, meat so you have to order each of them separately. It s not that expensive and the 400 gr meat for about 17 Euro was probably 300 gr... (Yes I eat a lot meat so I know perfectly the perfect weight... Maybe 10 or 20gr more or less but never 100gr ! ). However I couldn't complain as the meat was perfectly cooked with salt and pepper so juicy inside (I always ask red). What a wonderful tender piece of meat I got ! Best ever in the whole Berlin trust me. For that price I will definitively...
