Fünf & Sechzig — Restaurant in Berlin

I don't typically write reviews but this is the worst restaurant I have had the displeasure of enduring in all of Berlin and this is no small feat considering the levels of poor service and rudeness I've encountered. However Fünf und Sechzig is special. Wait staff that ignores you, sub mediocre food and outright rudeness. After waiting a half an hour to order a simple beer and get a menu it only gets worse. The beer never comes but finally order food after fourth attempt to get waitress' attention. Two times I went to the entry and tried to get her attention and she clearly saw me and ignored me. More than an hour later after reordering with a different waiter the first waitress give me a hard time for ordering with another waiter but still doesn't bring my beer. After one hour twenty minutes she brings my beer but no food. Second waiter says he'll take my food order so okay. After first waitress tells me my food will come soon I try to clarify with second waiter that I want to make sure the food doesn't come twice but he rudely tells me he is on a smoke break and not to interrupt him. 45 minutes later my food comes. Cold and not very good. Fine, I eat, try to pay the bill and leave but waitress is nowhere to be found. Finally manage to pay the bill and second waiter also comes to have me pay him. We disagree about it as I've already paid it and he sarcastically tells me to go back to where I came from. I would if I were you avoid this restaurant as there are actually many other fabulous...

Despite its great outdoor seating area and its rich menu, the service and food quality is unfortunately very lackluster. The food is pricier than usual, and the service is terribly slow to the point where you can wait up to 2 hours for a simple breakfast plate.

The place is lacking in the most important parts of a restaurant and the exterior of it is not enough to compensate. If you are out with your friends for a quick drink, feel free to consider this place. If you want to have a nice meal, unless you want to spend your entire afternoon waiting for a dish that will leave you unsatisfied, consider...

Meine Frau und ich waren gerade in der Gegend und sehr hungrig, als wir das Restaurant aufsuchten. Wir bestellten ein Schafskäsesalat, ein klassischen Flammenkuchen, Spaghetti Carbonara und ein Hüftsteak mit pommes und Speckbohnen und eine Flasche Sauvignon Blanc.

Als erstes gab es kein Sauvignon Blanc mehr und uns wurde ein Chardonnay empfohlen. Dieser sollte besser schmecken als der Pinot Grigio, es war mit Abstand der schlechteste Wein den ich als Franzose selbst getrunken habe. Zum Schafskäsesalat: Der Salat im großen und ganzen gut (nicht schwer was falsch zu machen) wäre dort nicht dieses Dressing also ich esse ja Senf aber wenn ein Frenchdressing nur aus Senf besteht ist das echt traurig und ungenießbar. Der Flammenkuchen war lecker obwohl man klassischen Flammenkuchen mit weißen Zwiebeln zubereitet. Die Carbonara schmeckte so als hätte ich mir die Knorrtüten mit bisschen Sahne verfeinert und man bekam zur Pasta nur eine Gabel und ein Messer nicht mal ein Löffel. Das Steak war Medium gebraten und sehr lecker, das war aber neben dem Flammenkuchen schon alles. Die Beilagen waren TK-Waren was einem echt den Spaß am Essen nahm. Alles in allem ein Recht trostloses Lokal mit Weihnachtsdeko im März, Kabel die im Eingangsbereich runterhängen und einem Kellner der ich glaube heute seine erste Weinflasche geöffnet hat, obwohl er Kellnerbesteck benutzt hat echt eine Katastrophe. Dazu noch die Handymusik die man im Hintergrund an der Bar zum Sauber machen hörte, trugen zur schlechten Atmosphäre bei.

Ich würde es nicht weiter empfehlen und es gibt nur 2 Sterne da das Steak etwas wieder rausgeholt hat.

Und Service ist in meinen Augen schon etwas anderes vorallem da ich selber gelernter Restaurantfachmann in der Gehobenen...
