Thai Son Imbiss Berlin — Restaurant in Berlin

Well thanks to their memorable name I am able to find this and leave a review. So here goes:

Entered the Imbiss and the lady sat there quietly, not caring.

When we decided what to order we walked up to that seated lady and she again gave us a blank look as if that was what she was paid to do.

In short: zero service. But hey it's an Imbiss.

Here comes the food.

My friend ordered Pad Thai and what he was served looked NOTHING like a Pad Thai. I've had my fair share of Thai food in Berlin and that plate of noodles was honestly just stir fried vegetable and fried noodles. Carrot slices had black spots on them and the the stench of the shrimps was just an assault on your sense of smell and taste.

I had the fried rice and it was OK.

We ordered the Thai Satay and it tasted fine.

The spring rolls were oily and the cabbage inside tasted sour.

Was tempted to share our leftovers with the birds but even they wouldn't have it - we are convinced.

Conclusion: if you're short on money and need calories - yes have a meal here.

If you want cheap, you’re at the right place. Honestly, I come here too often just because it is so cheap and good (for the price). The orders were always right, and 2 main dishes, 1 starter, and 2 soups for under 25€? Come on, you don’t get to complain! When you pay 6 euros for a main dish, you cannot expect highest quality shrimps or 100% authentic stuff. But the Tom yam is good though. Curries are watered down and lack flavor, but I just order noodles instead - they tend to be on a saltier side but again… price is amazing. I don’t know what the people who gave low reviews were onto - you literally cannot complain for the price that you’re paying. Also the lady is nice, idk why people say that the service is rude - have you been to any other...

I ordered a rice dish and Tofu summer rolls. The food came quite quickly and the staff were nice. The portion was really sufficient, but the meal was a bit salty. The Tofu rolls were okayish, I tested better ones to be honest. All in all, it is good and suitable for someone who doesn't care about quality and wants to save some euros.
