Genazvale — Restaurant in Berlin

I wanted to know if I am the only one who has been treated bad from from the stuff and I take a quick look on reviews and there is a lot of people complaining about the people who working there and the main guy at the entrance. I could give 3 or 2 stars for the food in balance with the service but the service was so bad that you felt like unwanted to restaurant, you felt the pressure of the main guy watching you all the time like “who are you what are you doing here” the second thing we wanted to eat a traditional “Chinkali” food that they told us they don’t offer on Saturdays and Sundays and then we saw later on that people started to order them,l and receiving them… third thing I called the guy after we ordered our food and ate it because we wanted to order something else and he bring us the bill and left he didn’t ask us if we want something else to order forth thing after all we finally ordered something else and he bring us the bill I put the money on a small chest with the check it was 85,50€ and paid 90€ I didn’t want it to give him a tip because no one from there deserve it but he never bring change back to us. I felt so bad that I didn’t even try to ask him for the money back so me and my friend left. It sad such an restaurant with a very tasty menu to treat you like that, I do not recommend to anyone try...

Ich hatte das Restaurant schon mehrere Male besucht und jedes Mal gesagt, dass ich nie wieder dorthin gehen würde. Leider wurde ich dort wieder zu einer Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen. Zunächst einmal gehe ich auch nicht zu Geburtstagen dorthin. Erstens ist der Service schrecklich, die Kellner und der Besitzer des Restaurants haben die Frechheit, unhöflich zu den Besuchern zu sein. Keiner von ihnen konnte sich auch nur entschuldigen. Es findet ein echtes "Rennen" statt. Sie haben noch nicht einmal die Hälfte der kalten Vorspeisen aufgegessen, da steht schon eine warme Mahlzeit auf dem Tisch... Auf meine Frage, warum ich es mitbringen soll, bekomme ich die Antwort... Und die Küche hat bereits den Geist aufgegeben... Mit einem Skandal gebe ich es zurück, aber dann, nachdem ich bereit war, die warme Mahlzeit zu beginnen und darum gebeten hatte, sie zu bringen, musste ich mehr als 40 Minuten warten. Danach sagte ich, dass ich die warme Mahlzeit mitnehmen würde. Es war der Kellner, der mich auf diese Weise "erzogen" hat. Sich entschuldigen? Nein!. Das ist das Wort, das sie benutzen. Ich beobachtete, wie der Restaurantbesitzer am Nebentisch den gleichen "Showdown" mit drei weiblichen Gästen hatte... Und was die Qualität des Essens angeht. Mit großer Mühe kann ich eine 3 minus geben. (Das ist Deutsch für 4. Der Abjabsandal, zum Beispiel. Ich bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass er in einem russischen Geschäft gekauft und aus der Dose auf den Teller gelegt wurde. Ich bin seit vielen Jahren in Moskau und habe viele große und kleine georgische Restaurants besucht, und ich kann Ihnen sagen, dass Sie in jedem kleinen georgischen Café in Moskau lernen können, wie man im Restaurant Genatzvale in Berlin kocht. Und am Ende - beim Bezahlen - stellte sich heraus, dass wir für eine Beilage bezahlt hatten, die wir gar nicht bekamen. Ich kann also nur sagen. Ich empfehle NICHT, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen. Statt eines Vergnügens werde ich einen ruinierten Abend erleben.Я уже несколько раз посещал этот ресторан и каждый раз говорил, что больше никогда туда не пойду. К сожалению опять попал тудапо приглашению на день рождения. Во - первых, я теперь и на дни рождения туда ходить не буду. Во - первых сервис ужасный, официанты и сам хозяин ресторана ведут себя нагло и относятся по хамски с посетителям. Никто из них даже не умудряются просто извиниться. Устраивают настоящие "гонки".. Не успел съесть и половину холодных закусок, как тут же у тебя на столе - уже готовое горячее.. На вопрос.. почему уже принести горячее - получаю ответ, .. А кухня уже выдала.. Со скандалом возвращаю обратно, но потом, после того, какя был готов приступить к горячему и попросил принести его, мне пришлось ждать более 40-а минут. После чего я сказал, что заберу горячее с собой.. Это официант меня так "воспитывал". Извиниться? Нет!. У них такого слова в употреблении. Я наблюдал так же как за соседним столиком хозяин ресторан так же имел "разборки" с тремя посетительницами.. А что касается качества блюд. С огромным трудом могу поставить 3с минусом. ( это по немецки 4. Например блюдо Абджабсандал. Я почти уверен, что это куплено в русском магазине и из банки выложено на тарелку. Я много лет пробыл в Москве и с удовольствием посещал массу больших и маленьких грузинских ресторанов и могу сказать, что любое московское грузинское маленькое кафе в Москве, может научить как надо готовить берлинский ресторан Генацвале. И в конце - во время оплаты оказалось что мы уплатили за гарнир, который не получили вообще. Поэтому я могу только сказать.. НЕ РЕКОМЕНДУЮ посещать этот ресторан. Вместо удовольствия, я получить...

For our dads birthday we wanted to try Georgian cuisine. The menu sounds delicious and is somewhat pricey but in comparison to other restaurants it's the same. The cheese pizza/ bread was divine, really fresh as well as the cheese dumplings. The starter of the aubergine was cold and ok. Small portion for 12 euros. The kebabs and lamb dishes were cooked and grilled freshly for sure. It just all lacks sides. The kebab was just a skewer and half a wrap. Not very filling. Every side dish is another 4 euros. The lack of glass of wines sand just bottles of Georgian wines which not many know about was annoying unfortunately. We asked three times for the bill and had to run after every single drink or extra dish we wanted to order. Service is apparently known not to be up to any standards.

Food is slightly salty which could have been once off but absolutely tasty and freshly cooked.
