Heine Bar — Restaurant in Berlin

drinks have decent recipes, but one can really see, that some of the barkeepers here lack understanding and skill. shaking and straining techniques leave much to be desired. drinks end up being too watery and with bits of ice floating on top. please give guys a lesson on fine straining drinks that are served up. the cocktails were rather pleasant tho. service was surprisingly slow for an empty establishment, the barkeeper was busy with all kinds of things unrelated to work, like weirdly long phone calls. two employees were there, but then both disappeared and left the place unattended for good 15min. the space could be nice, but music was just awful and ruined the mood, like a nightmarish radio station from the 2000s, and some choices of art on the walls are… questionable.

Stopped in for a few cocktails before dinner and was not disappointed. The place was busy and we went to the back (green room with a tree mural on the wall) smoking room. We ordered the Mezcal Reyes and Gin Thyme. Both were delicious and well made. They have table service, but helps to flag the staff down as it is quite dark in the room so you aren't waiting too long. Staff was very friendly and the playlist fit the place well. Customers were aged around mid-20's to 30's.

Arrogant and rude bar staff. Walked into this nice looking bar this evening. Bar tender greeted us with a smile. She then left the empty bar where we waited. We waited. And waited. Then left. Outside the bartender was smoking with a friend. Looked slightly guilty. When I asked if she was closed. She said no we’re open. A nice looking bar for a quiet drink. I think about the rudest service I’ve experienced - the first time I’ve ever been bothered to review a bar in my life. The owner should speak to their staff as losing business...
