I have visited this restaurant twice. The owner and staff are friendly and provide good service, which I appreciate. The food is decent, though it seems tailored more towards a German palate, and quality-price ratio is on the lower end—mainly because the food is expensive for the size of the portions and the quality of ingredients. The coffee is bad.
I was disappointed by the payment experience on both occasions. When I paid, the server automatically assumed I was leaving the change as a tip, without asking. This made me feel pressured into giving over 10% as a tip without the chance to decide for myself or acknowledge the service properly. I believe tipping should be a choice, not an assumption.
