La Fiamma Frühstückshaus Wedding — Restaurant in Berlin

Was invited here. Enjoyed it so much that I paid the bill. Had excellent lentil soup. Scrumptious Doner pizza. And the delicious La Fiamma mixed grill. Finished off with kunafa and tea. My guests ordered a main dish each, and we shared the pizza and kunafa. Food for three cost us 120 Euro, which is about right for a sit-in restaurant in Germany. The staff were quick and courteous, the place was fully packed, so we asked to be seated on a less ideal table (close to the cook station) until a more suitable option was vacated by dinners, cleaned and we moved to our new table in less than 5 minutes! The place is noisy and standard fare Turkish restaurant atmosphere. I tried the beyti kebap which was quite delicious. It was seasoned and spiced perfectly. I wish they had asked me if I wanted it to be hot. It was a bit too mild for my taste although perfectly seasoned. One of the better places to get Turkish grilled meat in Berlin I would think. Avoid their Döner. The Döner meat is extremely ordinary, in fact the friend I was with felt it had too much sauce and too little taste.

If it was just about food, I would have given it a 4 star, however there was no seating available and when I tried to find a table upstairs I was told it was reserved for families (which I found very strange, since it was just me and my friend there and this hasn't happened...

Made the unfortunate decision to eat there yesterday late afternoon while on the way to a theatre performance. Staff was avoidant and strange for no apparent reason. Ordered a shared 2-person platter and was given the tiniest portion of bread compared to other tables where it was over flowing. The platter itself was nicely prepared. The salad was okayish.
