Located at the intersection of fun and environmental consciousness, this venue provides a unique playground designed for children between the ages of 3-7. However, it also subtly targets parents with an undercurrent of moral urgency and responsibility to save the world. Small signs positioned at children’s eye level share messages crafted in adult language, highlighting the need to save everything from bees to seals and turtles. They depict how humans contribute to the problems faced by sharks in the seas and many other issues affecting our planet. While the place’s intentions are admirable, the delivery is somewhat misplaced. It tends to inspire guilt rather than motivation, missing the mark with its core audience - children. The messages come across as admonitions rather than engaging lessons about the environment, making it difficult for the little ones to grasp the intended point of the various play stations. Despite these shortcomings, the venue retains a certain charm. It’s a cozy place with fair service where children can have fun and remain thoroughly entertained, even if they don’t fully understand the messages conveyed. This paradox forms the heart of the venue.

I was very impressed with the museum. there are number of reasons; 1) my 3 year old had a great time!! She enjoyed every part of the museum. We spent almost 3 hours. 2) Cultural diversity and inclusion was a common theme in the exhibits at the museum. Every activity/game was thoughtfully designed to teach children that everybody is different and we should respect each others values and differences. I loved this idea!!!! Raising young people who are aware of each others differences yet who are able to live together by forming friendships, communities, and families. This is what our world needs. This museum was one of the best examples of how education can be combined with play to teach children about big ideas!! There is so much more to write about this museum.. But I will end my review by saying that if you have a chance to visit Berlin, even if you don't have children , you should visit this museum and observe every little detail about what it has to offer.

My girls 7 & 9 love coming here. The term museum may be pushing it a bit in the old fashion sense but it’s got plenty of learning and sensensory activities as well as different hands on and craft activities. Parents can explore the space with their children or older kids can play by themselves and parents can have a coffee. The museum has that charming creative Berliner bohemian feel to it. You have to take your shoes off on entry so make sure you don’t wear the holy ones or bring ABS socks in winter. Entry prices are expensive but there is no time limit- I had to drag my kids out as they wanted to stay longer but after six hours my butt got a bit numb and there is only so much coffee one can drink. The staff is great.

We were looking for a place for our son to have some fun during our Christmas visit to Berlin. We were looking for an indoor play park but this is much more than that.

Labyrinth Kinder Museum is more like a sensory play warehouse where your kids get to live out their dreams. It's split into various sections. There is a dress up corner where they have many outfits and clothes for your kids to try on. There is a "smell and touch wall" where you get to sniff little holes in the wall and put your hand into dark little nooks to see what's in there. There are puzzles galore and a tech corner where your kids get to play educational games.

There are English translations in most of the corners. There is a soft play area upstairs for the smaller kids and a whole play section where you get to put on an apron and cook in a well outfitted fake mini kitchen or get to be a fruit vendor in the market. They have a lot of things based on the world and the globe so your kids get to learn about other cultures.

Best of all, every few minutes they ring a little bell, make an announcement in German and have little sing alongs or story time with the kids. These are in German so we couldn't participate.

This is a shoeless location. Socks only! They have a little cafe and a great seating area on the bleachers.

You can easily spend 2 or 3 hours in here and the kids won't want to leave. Its €6,50 pp and their website is very confusing. Their opening times are just as confusing so MAKE SURE you check their hours before you head across there.

You and your kids will have a blast....
