Milchmanns Kaffeehaus — Restaurant in Berlin

Overall was a positive standard experience, nothing that stuck on my mind to make me come back again. Clean place, well lighted and spacious, however in 2023 and don’t take cards or Apple pay..? Downer, we had to run to the next supermarket to get some cash on the hand, along with a kilo of rice and 200gr of cheese that we had to buy in order to get money from the cashier.

Anyways, after all those obstacles were sorted out we kindly asked for some tap water for which they kindly gave us a “normalerweise nicht” but they ended up bringing the water.

Big portions on the plates, well sorted out and the bread had a nice taste to it, however a bit overpriced which is ok, but not very convenient when you can’t pay with card.

The staff is nice, attentive, quick...

I came to Milchmanns with my 7 year old son, to cheer him up after a difficult day at school. It didn't come off well. The lady at the counter was really unfriendly and impatient while we decided which cake/cookie to buy. When we sat at the (sticky) table, we had to wait for a very long time to have our drinks and cakes, and they were delivered without a look nor a smile. Thankfully, the cakes were good ! Oki it’s the first time I’m dropping a review but the place is too crowded and overpriced. The servants are a little unfriendly. Maybe it’s just been not the best day for them. Let’s move on to cakes - they stated to have a cheesecake with raspberry but it it’s been just a layer of jam on top of a layer of whipped cream. Plus the coffee is not good. If I’ll ever go there again, then it will be for an ice cream that I hope will be good. Excuse me for criticism but maybe it’s something that you’ll change...
