Monkey Mind — Restaurant in Berlin

We had Joghurt Granola for 6€ and Salami Sandiwches for 3.90€ and granola was great! Sweet and tasty, but sandwiches was so dry and tasteless that we almost cried. At 3rd picture you can see how thin is layer of cucumber, salami and hummus😕. Bread was raw, not even grilled or something. 2 stars.

UPDATE: Hello again. We tried to come to this several times but you were closed for unknown reasons and we finally got to you and were disappointed. No, the problem was NOT with the raw or cold bread, the problem was with the filling, which was almost NONE. My girlfriend ordered this sandwich, when we tasted it, we were both shocked, we really make sandwiches at home a hundred times better, with vegan cheese, tomatoes, a normal piece of cucumber, sauces, and we were given ONE cherry tomato to go with the terrible sedwiches. It is not a client who should beg to make a normal meal or return the money, but for 4 euros you could at least try a little. I liked my muesli, it was delicious and I shared it with my friend, but what they brought her called "sandwiches"??? She was ashamed to ask for money back for them, although I was not of the same opinion. Learn at Geh Veg, great sandwiches and pancakes. We came several times, we do not regret the money...

War gestern zum ersten Mal da und fand's leider sehr enttäuschend. Das Cafe würde ich, was das Frühstücksangebot betrifft, auf gar keinen Fall empfehlen. Es war leider das schlechteste Frühstück, dass ich auswärts jemals hatte. Klar, auch das günstigste, aber das gleicht es nicht aus, weil man dann auch zu Hause essen könnte.

Es gibt einiges Gutes: Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und freundlich, die vegane Kuchenauswahl ist sehr gut und das Café recht geräumig eingerichtet. Da ich keinen der Kuchen probiert habe, bezieht sich meine Bewertung nicht darauf, vielleicht ist der mega gut.

Das Problem: Das Frühstücksangebot stimmt qualitativ überhaupt nicht. Ich konnte es gar nicht über die Lippen bringen, als ich heute da war, weil ich niemandem weh tun wollte, aber es war so richtig krass enttäuschend - Das Brot und die Brötchen waren die billigsten aus dem Supermarkt (ausschließlich Weizenmehlmischung, Fertigprodukt, von "ja" oder so), nichts davon war getoasted oder erwärmt, die gebratene Gemüsemischung kam vermutlich aus dem Tiefkühler / schmeckte aufgetaut und der starke Hafergeschmack hat dem Kaffee völlig sein Aroma genommen. Das Essen war günstig, aber wirklich unfassbar schlecht (für auswärts). Es war ein Frühstück, wie ich mir selbst schnell mal eben 'ne Stulle mit Supermarktprodukten schmiere, wenn ich schnell zur Arbeit muss - also essbar, aber halt nichts Besonderes.

Bestimmt ist es nicht ideal, wenn ich meine Kritik jetzt hier über einen Online-Kommentar abfeuer und nicht direkt vor Ort äußere. Andererseits: Man möchte vielleicht gewarnt werden, bevor (!) man sich extra auf den Weg macht und bestellt. Vielleicht verbessert sich das Café ja. Dann lösche ich den Kommentar natürlich wieder, der mir total leid tut, aber es hat mir eben auch richtig den Tag verhagelt.

PS: Inzwischen gab es einen Kommentar von der Inhaberin. Leider zeigt sie sich darin kaum kritikfähig: Ja, Oatly, finden viele, ist 'ne gute Hafermilch (die nehme ich auch gerne zu Hause), aber wenn der Kaffee fast nur danach schmeckt, ist es halt nicht gut. Das Brot war billig, billiger als das aus der Backtheke bei Lidl. Die "20 Zutaten" waren in meinem Essen nicht enthalten. Wenn das mit dem TK-Gemüse nicht stimmt, okay, dann nehme ich das zurück - es schmeckte trotzdem danach (vielleicht ist das Gemüse zu kalt gelagert gewesen). Ich wollte nur andere vor der Enttäuschung bewahren, keineswegs nur "Frust ablassen", wie die Inhaberin behauptet. Meine Kritik ist halt einfach ehrlich. Aber geht gerne selbst hin - ich hatte ja geschrieben, dass manches da auch sehr gut sein mag. Was ich mir gewünscht hätte: Offenheit für die berechtigten Punkte meiner Kritik - wenn alle immer nur 5 Sterne geben für nichts, dann ist doch niemandem geholfen. Für die kritischen Lesenden: Die Inhaberin meint, dass ich ihr Café schlecht machen wolle. Kontrollfrage: Was sollte ich denn davon haben, ihr Café schlecht zu machen (= kann das stimmen?), nachdem ich dort ja nun gar nicht mehr hingehen werde und die Inhaberin auch gar nicht kenne? Das Café behält ja seine gute Bewertung im Schnitt, daran ändert meine Kritik ja gar nichts. Also nochmal ganz ehrlich: Das Frühstück ist günstig, aber echt nicht gut. 4,8 Sterne sind...

Once in a while we come across a place which bring happiness, calmness and feel like home feeling, in other words a escape place. The atmosphere of the Monkey Mode Café is just refreshing. The host is gorgeous and really good listener. The customer service is professionally friendly. The decor is great and color scheme emits emotion of siting in a forest. It's spacious, comfortable and easy to move. It's a complete vegan Cafe which is hard to find in Berlin. Taste is amazing. This is my favorite place for a glass of Fresh Lime Ginger tea. This is truly a place to tell your monkey mind to breathe. We all have to support this place to grow because it's hard to find such Vegan Cafes in Berlin. @Berlin #germany...
