Impolite staff, disgusting food. I arrived there with my boyfriend, and the staff only greeted him while ignoring me. They spoke looking only at him and order and after the order, brought all the dishes, serving him first. This is incredibly impolite. Regardless of culture or restaurant type, it's customary to serve the woman first. Additionally, I was the one paying, so it was insulting for them to assume he would be handling the bill. It's 2023, time to wake up.
Furthermore, despite my request to avoid coriander in all the dishes, they still brought the first dishes with coriander. I informed one staff member to relay the message to the chef, she said okay and then proceeded to focus on her own tasks at the cash desk, ignoring my request. I had to approach another staff member and explicitly request that she speak to the chef. Finally, the second person listened to me and went to the kitchen.
To make matters worse, the food was revolting. The beer was served warm, which is completely unacceptable. It should be served cold.
We spent a total of €35 on repulsive food and impolite service. I have been to other places where I ate much more and spent significantly less.
Unfortunately, I have been to this place before as it is conveniently located beneath my house, but every time has been a dreadful experience. On a previous occasion, they tried to overcharge me "by mistake." Another time, when I ordered two summer rolls for take away, and when I went to the cash desk to take the free candy they told me "you have to spend more if you want to take the candies".
The very first time I visited, about a year ago, none of the staff members spoke English. It took me 30 minutes to convey my request for water, and even then, they continually misunderstood me. I ended up eating without a drink, despite simply asking for regular water. It's baffling how difficult it was for them to comprehend. I had to communicate my request to four different people before they finally understood that I just wanted...
Read moreThe place is lovely and the service is ok but the food is very disappointing. I don’t understand how they can have so many good reviews. There are far better Vietnamese restaurants all over Berlin. I ordered miso soup and a curry with vegetables. The soup was almost cold, and the curry didn’t feel fresh at all. The flavors tasted rather artificial. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. When I returned home my brother asked where I ate, and then he said, “That place is so bad. Dad and I went there together and neither of us liked it.” So,...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I love to come here. It’s one of our favorite restaurants in the Wollankstr./Pankow Area, and definitely our favorite vietnamese place here. Authentic vietnamese kitchen, many vegetarian/vegan options with attention to detail. The service is a 10/10, the waiter is always so nice, he even told the kitchen once to stay open because we called and said we couldn’t make it in time. I also went with my parents, brothers and friends,...
