Trattoria Rossini — Restaurant in Berlin

We came for lunch and without a double serving of bread, we would have left hungry. The tomato vitello was covered by anchovies and caperi which made it bitter and salty out of proportions. The fresh gnocchi were terrible, though the tomato sauce was OK. The carpaccio was the most disappointing item, for a 12,50€ serving, there was probably 30grams of beef, heavily covered by rucola and salad sauce, this was simply the worst version of a beef carpaccio I ever eaten. We also had a serving of salad, which was really just a mix of 2 salad leaves heavily covered with sauce, heavy and unsavoury. Maybe the pizza were a more decent choice, I won't waste money getting back...

Overall the food was amazing, big portion and delicious taste. The service is really poor, I have assisted to a waiters fight. Just because I'm italian I could understand everything and it wasn't very professional. First waiter took the order but made a lot of mistakes, he brought appetizers and main all together, and then he forgot one main,at the end another waiter took over the order and brought us the right food. We came here for lunch and the place was great. We ordered a ministroni soup, spagetti Bolognese, pizza capriciosa, and a diavola. The servings were big, we couldn't finish everything, even though we were hungry. The prices are average, but the servings are bigger than average, so a good value overall.
