We were a group of four at this restaurant, looking forward to a pleasant evening with Peruvian cuisine. Unfortunately, the visit turned into a complete nightmare.
First, we had to wait an extremely long time for our food â in some cases over an hour. Our drinks were forgotten and only served after we asked multiple times. But unfortunately, that was the least of our problems.
I had ordered Lomo Saltado â a dish thatâs supposed to consist of tender beef filet. However, while eating, I bit down on something extremely hard and actually broke a tooth. I was shocked and immediately informed the staff. I showed them both the hard object that was mistakenly in my food and the broken piece of my tooth.
Their reaction was unbelievable: instead of apologizing or taking the dish off the bill, I was basically treated like I was making it up. I was repeatedly told that something like that âjust couldnât be,â because filet âdoesnât contain anything hard.â My clear evidence was ignored, my concern dismissed â absolutely outrageous.
This is not how professional guest service looks. In most restaurants, itâs standard practice that when such a clear kitchen error occurs, the affected dish â if not more â is removed from the bill. But here? They got defensive, showed zero willingness to accommodate, and took no responsibility or showed any empathy. Instead: ignorance and blame-shifting.
By the way, the bill was very high â and even if they had removed my dish, the restaurant still would have made a good profit from our table. But apparently, stinginess matters more here than customer service or honesty.
In the photos, you can see: the bill from that evening, the hard object from my dish next to the broken tooth, and the dentistâs invoice for âŹ700.
Conclusion: If you're looking for overpriced food combined with a lack of professionalism, ignorance toward justified complaints, and dangerous mistakes in the kitchen â this is the place for you. For us, it was definitely the last time. Absolutely not...
Read moreIâve been to this place a couple of times, but that was years ago. So I went again a week or two ago for an evening meal. The food is good and I appreciate the fact that the chefs are so involved they create colorful and to some extent still authentic combinations. You should know however that this is Peruvian-Nikkei cuisine so donât expect regular dishes with typical portions to be served. However, Iâm leaving 3 stars here for my latest visit as I was quite unhappy with the way the waiting staff did its work. My glass was taken away as soon as I paid the bill without even being asked if I was done with my drink. You neednât be blind to realize that the glass wasnât empty. I tipped the girl still but figured I shouldnât have. Personally, Iâd recommend aligning the efforts of the chefs with those of the waiting staff to set and retain the quality of a place like this, which is not...
Read moreI went for the first time to this Peruvian restaurant. We had so many expectations from it. First impression, prices were very high but we though that maybe it could be ok. We order 2 ceviches and four drinks. Ceviche it was delicious but for such an expensive price i would expect a normal portion and not a mini tasting. Then second disappointment , the red wine I ordered it was spoiled and disgusting, warm and probably it was opened since 1 week ago, (I'm a wine specialist btw). But the waitress said it was from yesterday and as she realize i was smelling it several times she came to said i could change it. How come you dont smell first your wine before offered or even if you know it was opened since several days ago, then no offer it. Anyway overall the food was delicious but extremely expensive for the portions and the part of the wine just let us go away and very probably never...
