One of the better hotpots in Berlin - all you can eat at a reasonable price, fresh vegetables and good quality seafood. However tonight i had one the most unpleasant service experience in Berlin(and that says a lot when service is mostly absent in Berlin). One of the waitresses (long hair, ponytail) was downright rude. First, when I had trouble explaining to her in German that I wanted vegetarian broth, I asked in mandarin if she could speak mandarin and she didnt answer. Later i heard her conversing in mandarin with the next table! Then, while I was eating, she walked past and stopped at my table. I had just had 2 slices of orange and left the skin on the table as i had no empty or unused plate. She told me that i could not put them on the table and had to pick them up and put them on my plate (which was full of uncooked ingredients for the hotpot!) HOW RIDICULOUS???!!

When we paid our bill she waited for a tip but obviously we...

The portions of food are okay but as a lot of Asian restaurants of the same kind (frozen and thinly sliced) but I tried the lunch menu so some items were missing. I didn’t like that I was charged 5€ extra because I was eating alone.. nothing is stated clearly on the menu or google saying it so be careful with that. They offer very nice ice cream for dessert which can also be a plus. The waitress is very polite. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be there. Overall experience is good but there’s also something shady with their payment as they don’t accept all bank cards, I have German and Italian bank cards and the host said to me they can’t accept it because they don’t accept master card! so I paid by PayPal instead.. this is just a fair review. Would like to add that I had diarrhea afterwards which I don’t know what this could be. But maybe my stomach isn’t used to the Asian spices. Recommended only for groups and people with strong...

The rating on Google is not too bad that’s why my friends and I decided to visit this restaurant. I made reservation 2 weeks ago before we went there, but seems the staff missed my reservation. In the end they didn’t charge our drinks(only for our first ordering: 1 bottle of coke and 1 glass of beer).

  1. The vegetable is fresh but the meat (we ordered beef and lamb) may be frozen for a long time coz we saw some of the meat turned to dark color. And the clams are super tiny…

  2. The tomato hotpot we ordered didn’t have much tomato flavor. You can ask for some light soup (I would say it’s water) into hotpot every time when you cook for a while, but the flavor in your hotpot will be getting lighter and lighter. Because they didn’t add tomato soup, they added light soup into hotpot( or I would say it’s water).

  3. the young lady who served...

Coming to Nin Hao was a lovely experience — the staff were very welcoming and happily explained everything to us. The food options were amazing, and the quality of the meats and seafood was great. We had the Tom Yum and coconut curry broths. Both were incredibly flavourful, with the Tom Yum being a bit more acidic and the curry offering a deeper umami taste. You also have the option to pick from a small buffet of starters and create your own dipping sauce from various ingredients. The concept of hotpot is great if you’re with friends having a fun dinner, but it’s not very suitable for a relaxed evening. If you want the food to taste great, you need to pay attention to not overcooking or undercooking the ingredients — which can take some practice and focus.
