Restaurant Deutsche Oper — Restaurant in Berlin

Everytime I go to the Deutsche Oper I dine at this restaurant before the performance. The service is extremely smiling and efficient, food is good, home made with fresh ingredients, and prices are reasonable (+ nice wine list). For a performance at 7:30pm, arriving at 6:00 allows to eat a main course and a dessert without speeding, as the service is organized to allow all guests to dine and pay without stress and still have time to go to the auditorium well before the beginning of the performance. nice place and service personal. The owner of the restaurant unfortunately was extremely rude and aggressive for no reason whatsoever and even insulted members of my group. His unacceptable behavior created an inhospitable atmosphere that ruined our whole opera experience. It’s a shame that this person is in charge of representing the hospitality of such a prestigious house as the Deutsche Oper since he casts a bad light on the entire institution in my opinion. Don‘t come here. The opera next door is great but this restaurant/cafeteria is truly horrible because of the toxic guy that runs the place. Friends and I were having a wine in this restaurant before going to the opera. As more friends came in, the guy came over, nagged about us not ordering enough and started insulting us....
