I went here with my friends, thinking we were going to eat some delicious, authentic Chinese food. However, from the moment we entered, things went south... We were frowned upon, and couldn't choose were we where gonna be seated. The lady who owns the place also insisted that we needed to wait until we were given the menu. After 5-10 minutes, we still hadn't received the menu, so I decided to grab it myself. At this moment, the lady started yelling at me to sit down. After we finally received the menu, the lady insisted that we ordered only like 3 minutes later. I still hadn't figured out what I wanted to eat and when I asked to change my order, she became furious. For some reason I cannot grasp, the lady found it intolerable of me to ask for another dish. We told her that if she kept treating us so disrespectfully, we would leave. Which is what we did, because she kept shouting at us. When we were outside the restaurant, deciding at what other place we were going’s to eat, the lady approached us and told that we could still eat at her place. But at this moment, we found the way she treated us unworthy of redemption and decided to eat at the Chinese place next door, "Chen's Wok". This place, on the contrary, I would 100% recommend. Heartwarming staff and delectable food for an...

I have been coming here occasionally since 4 years. Frankly I must say that my frequency dropped because they have became increasingly unfriendly. I think the owner is quite the character and very special. I usually can tolerate her base unfriendliness, so it was never really a deal-breaking issue with me. However recently it has became worse, I believe they are getting more greedy. In my previous visit: The pot of green tea which used to be free of charge, costs now ca. 2.5 €. She asked for an additional 1 € for a box so I could take the rest of my food with me. And in the last visit: the shop was almost completely empty, only the middle tables being full. She told me that she will place me and im not allowed to sit where i want: the usual so far. But then she said i have to sit in together with another guest at a small table, while there were many other tables free. I understand that she doesn’t want to block a big table with one customer, but there were also other free small tables. Upon me saying clearly that I don’t want to sit together but alone, she shrugged and said then not possible. So I exited the restaurant. I think this last attitude crosses a border where the unfriendliness is not tolerable anymore. I’m sorry for the bad review, because i liked...

It is my favorite restaurant in all Berlin, the food is AMAZING and it is very cheap. Try the sweet and sour chicken and the pork belly!!

You have to understand that the service here is a bit different. The lady is not mean, she is just always overwhelmed as this is as small family business, she is the only managing the tables, so she is always stressed a little.

How to behave here: Imagine that you are not in a restaurant but you are a guest at this Lady home, so she has her own way and she is the Boss here. Don't just walk and sit, wait for her to invite you to sit. Don't ask for the menus, she will bring it to you when she is done taking order from the other tables. Don't ask her to come because you already decided, she will come at the right time. When she comes to write your order have it on mind everything that you want to order. Just tell her the NUMBERS not the names. So you don't waste her time as she is always super busy.

Avoid stupid questions such "is this rice bio?" "Was this chicken fed with soy or worms?" and you will be good.

Don't get offended or suprised if she may sound rude, it is not personal. Just take it easily. Ignore it and move on. It is truly part of...

The food is really good and authentic. They serve real cantonese food and the price is very cheap (actually too cheap for its taste!). They don't have a big variety of dishes, but it has something for everyone. Though I have to give a heads up to those new comers after reading many complaints over the lady aka the owner. This place is a very cantonese style, that the staffs are always running back and forth, constantly yelling to the kitchen and even to customers. If you ever been to those local restaurants in Hong Kong, you know what I mean! But if you run out of time or in hurry, don't go there. If you are looking for European style of dining, like the waiters serve the food gracefully and chit-chat with you, don't go there. I have never been treated badly in this place but I could see why many have different experiences. That's my two cents.

5stars for the taste of food. Service as everyone's else has written. Being treated badly is expected and u need to have a strong heart for that. But the food taste authentic and price is amazingly economic for its proportion: one dish +unlimited rice and tea costs 6-8€ what do u ask for. If u wanna taste original Cantonese food, I strongly recommend this. Probably the only and cheapest available in Berlin. I will definitely come back. Bad temper of the owner is somehow understandable as she works alone n it's always busy. Bad service is very typical hk too.
