Great food. Questionable service.
Food was great. The pizza straightforward and nice. My salmon pasta was delicious and really commendable. The dessert platter was nice. The Panna Cotta was okay, but the ice cream and tiramisu were great.
the person who served us was a character one would remember I would say. Then I saw all the previous reviews and understood it was the same older guy most of the other reviewers unpleasantly recalled. For one, I asked him a question about a dish in the menu. He stooped forward so close to the menu- like about 5 cms close to the menu (on the table in front of me) coz of his sight issues I assume ( and also uncomfortably close to me in the process- disrespectful to my personal space). I don’t know if he was being sarcastic in how he answered or just funny. The rest of the time there, As much as he checked in on us, it felt a bit overly intrusive. Besides he was talking so so loudly to the people on the table next to us and laughing so loud for a good 40 mins, our experience sitting on the table next to them altered negatively. The worst part is this. At the end when we asked for the check, he gave us this. (Please check the attached photo). He gave us a bill and drew a box with his own around the “tip not included” line. My husband paid so I didn’t see thr bill until after we left. If I had I wouldn’t have tipped anything. We generally leave tips every place we dine in at s a principle. And we did the same here. It was very annoying to see his art work on the bill. Felt a bit belittling.
He must either own the place or be a relative of the owner to be allowed to stay on despite such consistent poor reviews about his evident unprofessional behaviour.

Read moreI had a truly disappointing experience at this pizza place. It started with the plate that came with the cutlery, it was visibly dirty, but I decided to let it slide. Then, when the pizza arrived, there was a hair right on top. Again, I shrugged it off, thinking, “mistakes happen.”
But the real frustration began when I asked to have half of my pizza packed for takeaway. The waiter handed it to me wrapped in aluminum foil. Since I was on my bike, I politely asked if I could get a proper pizza box instead. He flatly claimed they had none. Moments later, I saw two girls leaving the restaurant each holding a pizza box. Confused, I went inside and asked the staff at the pizza oven for a box. The guy told me boxes were only for delivery and argued that I’d need to pay extra. I explained that I had dined in, even left a 15% tip (despite tipping not being mandatory), and that I would’ve appreciated being informed about the box policy upfront instead of being misled.
The entire interaction was unprofessional and dismissive. The place itself felt unclean, customer service was shockingly poor, and the hair on my pizza was just unacceptable. It’s disappointing to see a complete lack of care for customer experience especially when the response to a simple request for a box is met with excuses and attitude. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Read moreIt used to be a good restaurant with a good selection of food but the quality has declined a lot. We came today and noticed immediately that the menu shrank a lot: only a very little amount of main dishes and mostly pizzas and pastas. I ordered a pizza from the daily menu which was supposed to contain meat, but there was not even a single piece on it! My partner ordered octopus with eggplants which was completely drenched in oil, oversweetened (!) and oversalted. When we wanted to pay, the waiter told us that they only accept debit cards (EC Karte). This was shocking because they accepted all kinds of electronic payment forms before. So we had to stand up and find the next ATM to withdraw cash.
Even the table next to us was very unsatisfied with the whole service and complained to the manager. In their case, they were fully ignored by the employees which was a very rude and ignorant behaviour. The manager SERIOUSLY said that if they don't like it here, they should give a negative review.
It is so sad that this Italian place adapted the mindset of German customer service. Even sadder that the food quality is so bad. The restriction of payment possibilities feels unusual and inconvenient, and it raised some concerns for me about transparency.
