Die schlichte, aber kraftvolle Skulptur zeigt die Inschrift „Spanien war ihre Hoffnung, Spanien war ihre Liebe, Spanien war ihr Grab“. Sie regt zur Auseinandersetzung mit antifaschistischen Idealen an und bewahrt das Andenken an jene, die in einem internationalen Kampf gegen Unterdrückung ihr Leben riskierten. Ein ruhiger Ort des stillen Gedenkens und der historischen Reflexion.
