Saigon Today — Restaurant in Berlin

Used to be a regular here before I left Berlin, finally been able to come here again. Very glad to say nothing has changed!

Excellent staff and service. The food is delicious and they always serve two slices of paprika on top shaped like a heart. Just love that. Definitely one of the best Vietnamese places in town if you ask me. Plus their serving sizes are well proportioned and it doesn't cost a fortune either.

Today I their Pho Viet Hoisin (Marinated Duck with Pho Noodles) and I loved it. I don't know what Hoisin is or how they make it, all I know is that I want to bathe in this sauce like that peanut butter baby meme.

Serving good food is one thing. But doing to quickly, with super friendly waiters in a well kept and clean restaurant is what makes the difference for me. And then it's affordable too?! What are you waiting for? Go to Saigon...

Vietnamese here. Looking at the menu I already felt something is off, thinking it’s definitely fusion. We ordered 4 main dishes and 3 appetizers. The food is okay but I have to say 0% Vietnamese. I’m very disappointed because I wanted to show Vietnamese food to my family in law. They even gave “bun” when I order “hu tieu” ( these are completely 2 different types of noodles ). I am skeptical about the reviews. We were there on Friday evening but it’s very empty. I still give 3 stars because they’re fast and the food is not too bad, just nothing Vietnamese north...

Our starters were really good! But the soup had no taste! But overall it was okay. The worst thing was the waitress there. She treats really disrespectfully. We had a container of sauce on our table. She came with an angry face and literally took it without asking if we wanted it or not. When we criticized it to the other waiter, he said there were only a few of these sauce containers, so we should take them sometimes.
