One of the best brunch place in Berlin for a lazy Sunday. It’s next to the canal, so if the weather is nice you can just get your food or coffee and sit outside and enjoy the view. They have at least 10 different brunch plates( very classic ones and some specials as well). Portions are huge, but you can buy just a small bakery product as well. The coffee is not the best, you can rather order a Turkish tee. The place is always busy, but the staff is nice and quick.

The staff is nice and smiling. It's close to the canal and you can sit outside. They open the windows to let in the breeze and the bathrooms are clean. Another thing that is nice about this place is the good tasting coffee. Prior to coming to Berlin I was told they have a low standard for coffee and when they make an americano the make an espresso and then just let hot water run through the "used up" coffee grounds but at this place the coffee is pretty good.

With so many cute and modern cafes popping up around the city, it’s nice to come here and get a classic German “Frühstück Teller” (breakfast dish) ~ Magic is added only by sitting by the canal and enjoying the view (though wasps can get a bit annoying). They serve freshly squeezed OJ 🍊 which always makes my day and the breakfast dishes come with nice fluffy bread (since the place is also a bakery). Unpretentious. Classic. No table service. Nice!

CON: Reviews might be fake/influenced? The store is pure chaos. You are constantly bumped into by employees or customers, because there is no distinction between the queue and the order waiting area.

The coffee would also be better if the coffee beans weren't burned. And the food tastes like it's comprised of the cheapest supermarket ingredients, leaving much to be desired.

The experience of this café would be so much better if they added some structure in the store (please have a designated queue and waiting area) AND the menu, which is just so confusing to read.

Don't come here if you want to relax, because my blood pressure doubled after this experience.

PRO: The employees seem friendly, and are trying their best. Nice...

I have mixed feelings… They are very lovely, have a great selection of pastries and food and the staff is friendly - but it’s so busy at times it really stresses me out. I guess that’s the demand… But it still is a very cute place by the canal with nice seating.

I’m not sure what the peak times are but at least I would avoid those, but I’m also very sensitive in a busy place, when I don’t have much time to study the menu in line.

5 stars also because the first night I went there, as they were closing, they gave me free Böreks and were just very friendly!

So, summary: Perfect for a fresh orange juice in the morning sun. Near the dog park. Maybe with...

Zimt und Mehl in Berlin Neukölln is an absolute gem! My favorite, though, is their tomato mozzarella sandwich. It's the best—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. But let's not forget the charming outside area. Nestled close to a small river, it's the perfect spot to enjoy your meal while soaking in the tranquil atmosphere. Their fresh orange juice is amazing, and combined with their great prices, it makes for a delightful and affordable dining experience. Each bite and every moment spent here is a pleasure that leaves you craving more. Zimt und Mehl has truly perfected this classic. Highly recommend to anyone...
