Ja, das Ambiente ist ausbaufähig, aber dafür das Essen und die Bedienung wirklich sehr gut.

Wir waren halb-mutig 🤭 1x gab's eine lokale Spezialität "Kassler mit Gräwes". Kassler ist angebraten (3 ordentliche Scheiben) und "Gräwes" eine Beilage aus Sauerkraut mit Riesling, Zwiebeln und Speck sowie Stampfkartoffeln daruntergemischt.

Hört sich bisschen "strange" an, aber es war soooo lecker. Nur zu wenig. Weil ich musste die Leckerei teilen. Also noch eine Portion nachbestellt. Immernoch zu wenig. Das ist evtl. das Hauptmanko. Die Nachbartische haben auch "Gräwes" bestellt und die Portionen waren immer unterschiedlich groß. Anscheinend waren wir die einzigen, die "Gräwes" noch nicht kannten...

Die Bedienung hat uns die Herkunft und die Zubereitung des "Gräwes" erklärt. Während der Weinlese konnte die Winzer-Oma für die vielen Helfer auch viel davon herstellen. Und jeden Tag gab's anderes Fleisch bzw Freitags wahrscheinlich Fisch dazu.

Als 2. Gericht hatten wir Schweinemedaillons mit Bratkartoffeln und Extra-Beilagensalat. Fleisch zart, Champignon Sauce lecker, Bratkartoffeln genau richtig. Nid zu viel Fett, schön gebraten. Beilagensalat war auch frisch und schmackhaftes Dressing, aber zu den Schweinemedaillons nochmals 4,50Eur extra bisschen viel.

Beim Wein wird kein "Schicki-Micki" veranstaltet. Man hat einen Winzer "um die Ecke" und der liefert einfach alle Sorten, die verkauft werden. Man sucht also nach "Typus" aus: trocken, lieblich, ... Uns hat der Riesling gemundet. Das war das wesentliche für uns. Wer fragt, bekommt den Winzer genannt und kann dort direkt für...

I ve read excellent reviews and they are all true. Very beautiful decorated traditional restaurant where you feel welcomed by the moment you enter. Very polite and welcoming service. Big menu, big portions reasonable prices and whatever we tasted was delicious. Loved the onion soup the Schnitzel and the desserts. I totally recommend it abd would visit again for sure when travel here again....
