Heilandt Coffee Roasters & Café — Restaurant in Cologne

If you are ever in this area (why would you be though?), that’s your clear choice for coffee (it helps that there’s no hint of any warm drink on a 3km radius from here or something). But jokes aside - of course, this is a roastery, not a café, but seriously, it’s fast become my favourite Heilandt location of all. Perhaps because of the easy-going atmosphere, perhaps of being close to the source (haha), but most probably because it’s always so empty while being spacious, and the playlists are fantastic! Nice place to chill out, is offering Vegan options. These being Oatmilk and soymilk. When it comes to cakes and such sadly only one Chocolate cake. Since they are a not really a café but a roastary they may be forgiven. Overall good place to calm down. Wirklich eine der besten Röstereien. Ich habe sie erst kürzlich entdeckt, bin aber sehr positiv überrascht worden - nicht nur, dass der Kaffee ausgezeichnet geröstet ist (sowohl für Siebträger als auch für Filter), auch die Auswahl an Bohnen ist toll. Nicht so viel, nicht zu wenig, so wie es sein soll, und das was man bekommt - gerade in den Microlots - ist sehr hochwertig und spannend.

Mir gefallen vor allem der Bookkisa beim Filter, das war für mich mit der Aeropress ein Aha-Erlebnis wie Filterkaffee schmecken kann, und beim Espresso Hundert und der Tor 5. Hab aber noch nicht alle durch.

Nicht zuletzt ist mir die Rösterei sympathisch, weil sie die Kaffees auch gut beschreibt und man den Hintergrund dazu bekommt; auch die Tüten sind vernünftig, der Bestellprozess könnte einfacher nicht sein und man bekommt insgesamt ein sehr hochwertiges Produkt. Alles nicht selbstverständlich. Vor allem aber haben die Kölner einen sehr sehr feinen Humor und ich hab schon mehrfach extrem gute Laune beim Öffnen der Pakete bekommen und musste lachen, macht einfach Spaß. Auch sind mal kleine Aufmerksamkeiten dabei, oder ein Transparenzbericht, die weiß ich sehr zu schätzen.

Also insgesamt: 12/10 Sterne! Danke, dass ihr euch so eine Mühe macht, das macht für mich alles einen Unterschied und erhöht die Freude am...
