James Joyce Irish Pub — Restaurant in Cologne

Such a great bar! I've been there several times now with my friends and colleagues. The atmosphere is always something I enjoy the most. Joyce is a very nice person, but all staff members are friendly. The drinks are available in many tastes and sizes, and the bar has special days for Pub Bingo or Pub Quizzes.

The only thing I recommend for improvement is to keep people more updated. We're all human, but it has happened to me 3 out of 5 times that the special evenings were canceled at the last minute. While I understand if it's due to sickness, it should not happen last minute. Besides that, highly...

No food (bartender said they don't serve food), no coffee (they run out, they said?). Sparkling water with scotch was served in the bottle, no glass. The snacks (crisps and peanuts) are brought to the table in supermarket bags, no serving bowls. When the next round was ordered, they didn't bother to take away empty bags from the table.
