Sonic Ballroom - Köln — Restaurant in Cologne

The indoor stage area is really small, like standing room only for about 20 people or so, with a bar off to the side. However, that made the concert more intimate in my opinion. The outdoor area is nice and relaxed, with tables and chairs and sofas and stuff, but if you go out with a really big group (think 6+) the venue in general might be too small for you. Even so, awesome experience with friendly staff and good music selection. You will see some cool art murals walking from the train station...

Der Sonic Ballroom ist der einzig verbliebene Trost nach dem Abriß des Underground. Ich bin nicht oft da, aber es macht immer Spaß, die Preise sind moderat und es gibt eine große Auswahl an Getränken. Ob es Essen gibt, weiß ich nicht, deshalb gibt es da keine Bewertung. Das jährliche Sonic Ballroom Straßenfest ist eins meiner persönlichen Highlights im Jahr, da ist es einfach immer richtig lustig 😁 Viele nette "normale" Leute, gute Musik, lecker Essen und Kaltgetränke.

Ein RIESENMINUS gibt es allerdings dafür, daß man da Hunde mitbringen darf, daß ist wirklich absolut daneben. Allein in diesem Jahr hab ich 2 völlig verängstigte Hunde mit ihren angetrunkenen und natürlich komplett beratungsresistenten Besitzern gesehen. Es wird sehr darauf geachtet, keine Scherben zu produzieren, aber es lässt sich nicht vermeiden und der Lärmpegel ist auch nicht ohne. Bitte guckt an den Zäunen nicht nur nach Flaschen, sondern lasst auch keine Hunde...

Went for some beers late on a Thursday. The place was almost empty and that was great because we were 10 and the place is not very big. Beers were cheap and the waiters were nice. The place's aesthetic is singular, full of stickers on every wall....
