One of the worst experiences I've ever had eating at a Indian restaurant in Germany. I have been to many of them in and around Germany and as a Indian I can say this was the worst one yet.
We ordered a couple of dishes including veg Manchurian, chilli chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani and our worst mistake the prawn curry.
When the host asked us how the food was we gave our honest feedback saying the prawn curry tasted really sour like at an almost spoilt stage , it smelled weird and the prawns were like concrete in it and dint seem fresh. I don't think they take feedback seriously because they are living in their own bubble that they have the best Indian food and started denying that anything is wrong with it. I felt the host also had a passive aggressive tone to her because we critizied the dish. Well I was giving my honest feedback and I believe if you want your restaurant to be better and are running a restaurant you should be able to also take some feedback and acknowledge it than getting defensive.
The quality and quantity ratio to the pricing is not worth it here.
The only good thing here is the naan. That is the only thing worth...
Read moreAn overall awkward and frustrating experience.
We were greeted by a young lady who had no problem with us speaking English (attempting to speak German where possible), but when greeted by the blonde woman to take our order she became nothing short of rude when she realized we were not fluent in German. She proceeded to ignore us for the rest of our experience, until it was time for payment. The young woman who had initially greeted us also became extremely hostile.
Although the food was good, when asked if we would like it spicy or mild we both chose spicy. As avid spice lovers when we received the food and it was as mild as possible it was extremely disappointing. Do not ask guests for their preference if you will not provide what they request.
When the bill arrived we realized we had been overcharged to one of the drinks, receiving the most expensive version when we had specifically asked for a cheaper version.
Unfortunately good food does not make up for terrible service and a hostile environment. I would highly warn that if you do not speak German fluently to avoid this restaurant, unless you're a fan of being humiliated and...
Read moreI recently dined at this incredible restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The Afghan lady who served us was so kind and friendly, making us feel right at home. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Paneer Butter Masala, Naan, Rice, and Lassi, and every dish was simply outstanding.
The Biryani was perfectly balanced—not dry at all, which is quite rare these days. It was generously made with whole spices, bringing out rich, authentic flavors. The Paneer Butter Masala was equally delicious, creamy, and full of flavor. The food genuinely reminded me of India, which speaks volumes about the quality. Any Indian expat would agree on how hard it is to find food this good abroad!
To top it off, the owner herself came over to ask us for feedback and even gave us free ladoos at the end! Such personal attention is rare, and it really made the experience even more special.
This place offers not only great food but also an excellent ambiance. I’ve never tasted such good Indian cuisine outside of India before. Wishing them great success—I'm sure they...
