It was not busy, but there was a wait for eveything. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to even come to our table to take our order. It took over another 15 minutes just to get a glass of water. Then it took over an hour to get the food. There was even a wait to pay.
The waitress told us it would be a long wait for all the food and that they would even have to peel all the vegetables for whatever we chose. I get cooking fresh, but why not have the vegetables prepped?
The portions are very large, but the food was inconsistent. The appetizers were cold, yet other dishes were scalding hot. The cassava was not cooked through. It was hard, yet other vegetables were soggy. They didn't have any mutton, but the beef briyani was good.
Many tables were not cleared off. They just sat there dirty.
The reason for most of these issues was that there was only one young girl working. She was the only one taking orders, serving food, and taking care of payments. She was clearly very stressed. There were two men walking around, but they...
Read moreThe worst South Indian Food I have ever eaten by far in my entire LIFE! It broke my heart to write this but I had to.. the Masala Dosa was yellow in colour and thick as hell while all my life I have eaten only in white with a golden crispy crust below.. the masala was just horrible and I believe it had gone over, then we ordered some mehdu wads which was not fresh and they didn’t serve sambar with that and the worst of all the sambar was a thick as a dry mix vegetable dish with no sauces or curry to dip the wadas in.. bleeding hell and I had to pay separate for that. We ordered a plate of Samosa .. now u can’t go wrong in samosa but if you can’t get a samosa right please close the restaurant for god sake .. the filling in the samosa had gone over ..the fish curry order was good that was the only saving grace but again the fish this wasn’t fresh at all. Plus I paid 40euros for 2 person for this crappy meal which we left entirely .. I wouldn’t ever set foot in this restaurant no wonder it was...
Read moreI recently visited this Sweetchilli Indian-Sri Lankan restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The flavors were authentic and beautifully balanced – from the rich Indian curries to the aromatic Sri Lankan dishes with their unique spices and coconut-based gravies.
The appetizers were fresh and flavorful – the samosas were crispy, and the Rool and Fish Rotti were perfectly with just the right texture. I especially loved the Chicken 65 , Chilli Chicken. Onion Masala Dosai and mutton biryani, which were cooked to perfection.
The staff were warm, welcoming, and happy to explain the dishes, making the whole experience even better. The restaurant had a cozy, homely vibe, with décor reflecting both cultures.
Portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and everything tasted freshly made. If you’re craving authentic South Indian and Srilankan flavors, this is definitely the place to go! Highly recommended for anyone who loves a mix of Indian and Sri...
