Dreams come true, I finally found a place that does samosa chaat and does it heavenly well. All ingredients freshly paired with delicious sauces, yummy crunchy topping, so flavourful and aesthetically pleasing! It was tangy, spicy and all in all lip-smacking. By the time we were done it felt like a whole meal and that was just the start. The snack followed by lamb curry and a chicken korma which were saucy, tender, you could taste the vegetables and ingredients, all made from scratch and no artificial preservatives. It was truly savoury and creamy. The spice level matched well, also the waiter inquires if you have any preferences. The portions were hearty and we had basmati rice and fresh naan with it, along with sides. It is the first time I tried such good quality rice and so well done, soft yet whole - a jem! The decor is colourful, tasteful, original and well matched with the entire mood. It seemed like a part of Rajasthan was here in Dresden. One can see the owner put a lot of heart in it as when you explore the place there are also some household tools, musical instruments and other miniature memorabilia which we took the time to admire. It is a cosy place but also it feels like a special ocassion restaurant one would go to to celebrate an event. The table decor with fresh roses, candles and a dash of colour in the shape of textile felt romantic and inviting. My chai came with honey and it was like a balm for the soul on a winter day, the mango lassi was a delight, it felt like a dessert in itself. The music was atmospheric and well chossen. The owner also came by and greeted us, we had a brief conversation and he also offered a small trinket from India. Very welcoming, genuine, kind-hearted and jolly who takes the time to interact with guests. If a samosa chaat subscription was possible I'd sign up for a daily dose of this kind of...

I recently dined at Bombay Mirchi - Indisches Restaurant and was blown away by the delicious veg food options! Here's my review:
Ambiance: The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a night out with family or friends. The decor is modern and sleek, with a touch of Indian flair.
Food: The veg food options were impressive, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I ordered the:

Palak Paneer: Creamy spinach curry with tender paneer (Indian cheese) and a hint of spices.
Gobi Manchurian: Crispy fried cauliflower florets tossed in a spicy and tangy sauce.
All the dishes were expertly prepared and presented, with a focus on freshness and flavor.

Read moreWe regularly ordered food from Bombay Mirchi.... Food was always great quality. Tasty and fresh. Unfortunately in the last month or so the quality of the food as seriously dropped. The samosa used to be large, always tasty but always slightly different each time. The "new" samosas are very thin, look deep fried, possibly from a packet with a very mushy mashed potato like filling inside. Not nice. Our mains in our last order were practically uneatable. The chicken curry used to be a thick sauce, nicely spiced and once again always slightly different on each order. This time it was extremely watery like a soup with a dishwater aftertaste. The chicken used to be big chunks and very succulent. This time, small and dry. We don't know if there has been a change of chef or management but the quality is definitely not the same. We won't be...
