Bistro Bottaccio — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

The chef/supervisor samuel treats you like you're poor just because you're at a layover and using a voucher from the hotel. He was yelling at us just beacause we did not tell them that we're using a voucher. Nobody told us to let the restaurant know first that we're using a voucher. I was told to pay with the voucher and that it cost €18 and anything over that, we had to pay out of pocket, which I was fine with. This phucker thinks he can look down on anybody. We already felt that everyone is just ignoring us but left it alone cause we're tired and hungry. But the real reason is that we look like we can't pay for our meals and that we're of a different race. This feels humiliating. If I had another restaurant, I would not pick this. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Worst experience ever! We were staying at the Maritime Hotel for one night only because we had to take a flight the day after in the early morning. After reading the reviews we were suspicious but there is not other restaurant available in the surrounding, beside a bar with few German snacks, so we have dicided to try. We have got a table and after 5 minutes we could get a menu and order drinks, 1lt of water (€9,00!) and a beer. We ordered food, a salad and the burger. We noted, tha a copule which was arrived after us, have ordered the same dishes. After almost half hour, the couple got a burger and another dish which was the wrong one. After other 10 minuts they got their salad and we… still nothing! After complaining, we discovered the kitchen never get our order. We left, very disappointed! We thought to try the German snack bar, but when we saw that they were sharing the same staff and kitchen of the previous restaurant, we left this one too,...

A real disappointment, only Caesar salad, beefburger or Schnitzel on the menu (buffet available after 6pm each day) meals came with very undercooked chips, sent back and when they reappeared the beefburger was cold and the schnitzel must have been under a heat lamp. It was not good quality meat and the schnitzel was with chips and an olive and piece of lemon as decoration🤷🏼‍♀️ At this price I really expected much better. The staff said it was unusual as the schnitzel was really popular. When there are only three items on the menu, it will be. Two stars, as the staff were pleasant and when we returned our meal and refused any replacement, we were not charged for it.
