FOOD & DRINKS Another day, another visit to a Ramen restaurant in Düsseldorf. I went with the recommendation and ordered the Mali Tora Soba. The soup was very oily. I would say a bit too much for my liking. It also wasn’t really spicy just in case you are afraid it will burn your tastebuds. Instead it was more fragrant and I strongly believe the reason for that is because of the famous Chinese chili oil they added to the broth. In particular the one with crisp chilis. The minced meat did not have too much flavor. Overall it was still a nice bowl of ramen.
SERVICE Unfortunately the service felt rushed and busy.
ATMOSPHERE Sadly they still haven’t opened the restaurant for dining inside.
RATING Personally I would only come back again if I can eat inside the restaurant to enjoy the Japanese flair and I would skip the recommendation and try something else. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t...

The staff was weirdly cold from the start and ignored us for quite a while after giving the menus. Despite eventually calling for their attention, the guy still ignored us... took the orders of people who were seated after us. And when they finally took our order they seemed annoyed about it!
The glasses for the drinks looked dirty (maybe too much kalk buildup?) For 3 eur extra you get kimchi and soup with karaage, but it was the saddest tiny 2 pieces of kimchi and a tiny yunomi cup of basic broth as "soup" with nothing in it. How is that worth 3 eur?
And to end the meal, a cockroach was in the utensil cup and crawled on my partner's hand...
I'm not sure what's going on, but I certainly didn't experience the friendly smiling staff in all the...
Read moreAmazing food, some of the best japanese food you can get in the city, and the standard in düsseldorf is really high. Prices are alright, portion sizes are also fine, although the gyoza are a little smaller than some other places. Easier to eat for sure, you just end up getting a little less. Still fine i think.
Staff is super quick, super friendly, also in good spirits, you get the typical japanese greeting when you enter, just all around fantastic staff.
Atmosphere is also good, it's a small place, so it's definitely cozy, lots of japanese writing on the walls, and nice dekor. The place is very clean, but it always looks a little busy, because it is, which i really love, it makes this...
