Das Lieblingsrestaurant für mich und meinen Mann! Wir waren schon sehr oft bei Okinii am Medienhafen zu Gast und es ist jedes mal ein schöner Aufenthalt. Normalweise sind wir zur Mittagszeit unter der Woche vor Ort, da ist es nicht so voll und auch nicht so laut. Das Essen ist super lecker und auch jedes mal wunderbar und schmackhaft angerichtet. Ich empfehle, wenn möglich, unter der Woche zum Weekday Lunch zu reservieren. (Wobei ich gerade auf der Website gesehen habe, dass es das nicht mehr zur Auswahl gibt, ich hoffe das ist nur vorübergehend, wäre sonst sehr schade!) Das Essen kommt hier immer schnell und frisch an den Tisch! Wir waren ein einziges mal an einem Samstag dort. Zum Wochenende ist es sehr voll im Restaurant. Die Tische stehen meiner Meinung nach viel zu eng aneinander. Wir konnten uns leider gar nicht bis kaum unterhalten, da wir durchgehend nur die Gespräche der Nachbartische links und rechts mitbekommen haben und man so quasi schon "schreien" musste um sich normal zu unterhalten. Bei einem vollen Restaurant wird es schonmal sehr laut in dem großen Raum. Man fühlt sich allgemein sehr erdrückt von all den Gästen, wenn es voll wird, alles wirkt etwas doll zusammen gepresst, damit mehr Gäste rein passen. Durch die Menge an Gästen darf man dann gerne auch mal 40 Minuten auf seine ersten Speisen warten, einige Bestellungen werden gar nicht erst gebracht. Dafür gibts einen Stern Abzug! Im Großen und Ganzen sind wir aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Service von Okinii und kommen jederzeit wieder gerne ♥ Die Servicekräfte haben immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen, sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen schmeckt jedes mal, egal ob unter der Woche oder am Wochenende!

I must be used to another standard. It was a huge disappointment! I do not recommend this place at all. Specially for people that know what sushi should taste like and what good service is. The dishes they served were tasteless, out of balance (waaayyyy to much rice everywhere!!) and some of them were plain old (like the shrimps!! old and mushy!! ) The sushi was rolled obviously by a very inexperienced "chef" (if you can call it that). The hand rolls looked horrible with again too much rice with rice sticking out of the rolls. And ALL of the other sushi rolls were again rolled with too much rice! The grilled salmon was a third smaller than the full slab shown in the previews/pictures. So you needed 3 orders to get the full salmon.. The cucumber was just that, tasteless sliced cucumber with no vinegar. They only poured some sesame seeds on top and called it a "dish" :( The soup came out without a spoon! Their service could use a lot of improvement as well. The staff would only put the plates at the very edge of the table and would not take empty plates away. Eventually we started stacking the plates to see how high they would go, and we literally had 2 stacks of 4/5 plates before they noticed! It was a terrible experience to be honest. The lighting was also horrible with white/blue LED's, the music was weird and inappropriate. There is so much wrong with this place it's an embarrassment calling this place a restaurant and serve food to the public. Food in Dusseldorf is normally of a much higher standard. I am never coming back to this place.

We visited a restaurant in Düsseldorf with a very unique and exciting concept: you have eight rounds to eat as much as you can within two hours. Each round is timed, adding an extra layer of challenge to the experience. As our very friendly waiter Raul told us, no one has ever managed to finish all eight rounds — and we were no exception! We only made it through four rounds each, plus a little dessert in the form of ice cream. The concept itself is really fun and engaging at first, and it definitely makes for a lively dining experience. However, after a while, it starts to feel a bit repetitive. I also wouldn’t say the food was particularly tasty — it was quite heavy and greasy. Overall, I’d recommend this place for the fun and unique experience rather than for the food itself. If you’re looking for something entertaining and out of the ordinary, give it a try!

Service was meh. I asked for dishes a la carte but they forced me to get the all you can eat, stating that they don't do a la carte. It's 32€ and I knew I wasn't going to eat that much, unlike the guy friends I was with. I refused to pay and just watched my friends eat. I don't understand why they don't let people order stuff from their menu. Anyway, I ordered a homemade lemonade and asked for no ice, they brought it with ice so I sent it back so they could remove the ice and asked to remove the mint too. It came back with mint. Not going back.

Amo Okinii y su sistema de platos directamente desde tu celular! Ciertamente al inicio es algo engorroso el proceso, luego será simple. Los platos, las rondas, es divertido y absolutamente delicioso !! Si me gustaría que las mesas fuesen un poco mas grandes y separadas de las otras… La iluminación no me hace feliz del todo, pero supongo es parte de la vibra del lugar. Estacionamiento/aparcamiento es un tema aparte, es Düssi así que es difícil si quieres aparcar en la calle, pero hay un par de Parkhaus cercanos que puedes aprovechar como el de UCI!

Dinner 8 Runden 5 Bestellungen pro Runde pro Person in einem 2Stunden Zeitrahmen Service geht sehr freundlich auf Wünsche und Fragen ein, Essen wurde sehr schnell an den Tisch gebracht.
