Restaurant Himmelsstube — Restaurant in Füssen

We went in quite late around 9pm but still got served, which is great provided that most of the other restaurants around close their kitchen before 8:30 pm already. It was then a nice meal, the restaurant is beautifully decorated with amazing lightly & atmosphere, the waiter was nice and attentive (and spoke great English), and the foods were nicely presented & delicious. We went so full in the end and shame couldn’t try their apple strudel. This meal costed 80€ in total, a little bit on the pricier side but well worth the price. Parking at the street at the back is free after 7pm...

This restaurant is part of the Schlosskrone Hotel. We had the Bavarian pork sausages and the Pork knuckle in dark beer sauce. Both meals were good, nothing exceptional but nothing bad either - good solid food. We were too full for desert but as we were eating lunch quite late (kitchen closes at 2:30pm and we arrived about 2:15) a lot of people started coming in for cake - all looked fantastic and very large. The staff were friendly and the venue nice, although we could not work out what theme they were going for....

leider unterirdisch! waren mittlerweile zum 2. Mal dort essen. vor ein paar Jahren das erste Mal, damals war das Essen wirklich gut. Deshalb hatten wir auch entschieden wieder an einem Abend dort essen zu gehen. So schlecht hatten wir schon lange nicht mehr gegessen, und wir sind oft auswärts essen. Ich hatte Forelle mit Bratkartoffeln, weiss garnicht wie ich es beschreiben soll. Kein Geschmack , fettig, schon optisch verdächtig...und der Fisch war nicht frisch ( was uns der Kellner sogar mitteilte ). Meine Frau hatte Hühnchen, ähnlich schlecht. Konnten beide Gerichte nur zum Teil essen. Kellner war bemüht, uns zu erklären, auch wegen Personalmangel und so..... Sorry, geht garnicht, dann lieber das Restaurant schließen, wenn ich die Küche nicht im Griff habe. Wir sind nicht pingelig, und beschweren uns eher selten, aber das war schon krass, vor allem, weil wir ja schon einmal dort waren. Viele Rezensionen sind ja auch meiner Meinung... Wenn ich diese bevor ich dort war gelesen hätte, wären wir auf jeden Fall nicht dort hin, hatte aber nicht daran gedacht, weil wir ja vor ein paar Jahren...
