Café Heimelig — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I only recently discovered this place and I am very happy I did. We ordered breakfast to share which was really nice (make sure to include the marmalade and the chocolate spread to your breakfast, they are delicious!) - although noting that a small yoghurt would have been perfect as an addition to the platter. The coffee was also really good but I was a bit disappointed we had to pay extra for a teaspoon of honey in the tea. I went to Heimelig for breakfast on Sunday morning. The place was full and for good reasons!

The menu is in German, but the waiter are very helpful in translating and helping you with the choice. The service is fast, attentive and very polite. The atmosphere is beautiful and the decore is really pretty.

I had the "cheese" breakfast which was a good selection of cheese but also a mix of dates, nuts, tasty bread. The portions are generous. Overall, it is a lovely place to try a proper German breakfast!

Breakfast was good - well composed proposal, where you can choose from various positions to fine-tune it to your taste.

Tasted well - all fresh, not too witty, but up to the point. Quantity was also just right.

The only disappointing thing was the waiting time - over half an hour is just too much for a cold dish breakfast. If the management reads - pls consider this...
