Our experience at Chairs was exceptional! The restaurant is a 10-15 minute taxi away from the centre of Frankfurt but so worth the visit. We opted for the four course tasting menu with the wine pairing. This came with lots of additional tasters throughout. The dishes were all seasonal and had an incredible depth of flavour. There is a big use of fermented or pickled elements that made everything so tangy and made even the richest dishes feel light. My absolute favourite part of the meal was the sourdough ice cream for dessert. It is a must try, it’s sweet and salty and crunchy and smooth, just perfection!

We are an english speaking couple and the staff were so great at accommodating us. This was also tricky as the wine pairing required lots of technical language, but they did such a great job. The wine was beautifully paired, every single one was delicious. Chairs also has a really relaxed atmosphere, the staff are friendly and laid back and it’s not too dressy or showy. You could absolutely wear jeans and t shirt here and not feel underdressed.

In einem unscheinbaren Eckhaus in Bornheim gelegen, ist der Name Program - ein buntes Sammelsurium an Stühlen, eine basic schicke Einrichtung und ein größerer Raum, sowie ein kleines "Pianozimmer" begrüßen die Gäste. Gemischtes Publikum, kein Schickimicki, alle Altersklassen - man darf sich "aufbrezeln" sparen ;)

Eine übersichtliche Karte mit 3 Kleinigkeiten vorweg, 3 Vorspeisen, 4 Hauptgängen und 3 Nachspeisen. Alles Bio, alles frisch, alles regional - alles deutlich anspruchsvoller Verarbeitet als der Name auf der Karte vermuten lässt. Tipp: immer erklären lassen, was das Gericht eigentlich ist - denn Ei/Kartoffeln klingt nach Bauerngröstel, ist aber deutlich cooler und hochwertiger! Fragt... seit nicht scheu!

Nette Bedienung, alles wurde gut erklärt. Auf Änderungswünsche kann aufgrund der kleinen Auswahl und aufeinander abgestimmten Gerichte - verständlicherweise - nur wenig eingegangen werden. Wurde es aber, um Allergien zu vermeiden. Danke! Eine bestellte Kleinigkeit kam leider nicht vorweg, sondern erst nach der Vorspeise. Ein Drink kam erst auf 2. Nachfrage. Nichts schlimmes, aber man möchte ja alles aufführen...

Btw das Sauerteigbrot ist Hammer! Bislang die einzige Konkurrent zu meinem "Referenzbrot" vom Restaurant PANKRATZ in 55129 Hechtsheim. Der Schinken war auch Top, ich mochte den geräucherten am liebsten.

Vorspeise war Hammer (Stör/Rettich), leicht, knackig, frisch, säuerlich. 100 Punkte.

Hauptgang (Surf/Turf) war (sehr) gut, schön rauchiges Aroma. Ich hätte allerdings gerne ein wenig mehr Frische dabei gehabt. Aber es ist weit weit entfernt, dass man sich beklagen kann!

Nachspeise mit Blutorangen Sorbet und Stücken war wieder klasse, schön frisch, bitter, sauer... wunderbar.

Preislich absolut angemessen, mit 2x Kleinigkeiten vorweg, 2x VorSpeise/Hauptgang/Nachspeise, 3x Longdrink, 2x Wein (offene 0.1l zw 8-9€) nur 208€. Das hab ich schon deutlich teurer erlebt, sehr passend!

Wir kommen ganz sicher nochmals wieder!! ...allerdings ist meine PANKRATZ Referenz immer noch unübertroffen.

PS: direkt gegenüber ist eine öffentliche TG zum parken - so perfekt parken kann man beim Dinner selten in...

Relatively close to Berger Str. with different chairs (explaining the name). Simple but beautiful looking interior & friendly staff. I really enjoyed the care for details such as freshly baked bread, a selection of longdrinks & good wine. Although I wasn't a fan of every dish served, the chefs managed to convince me with their creative creations. If you want to try something new & unconventional without giving up on a 'fine dining' experience, this is the place to go. Edit: The chefs changed and so did the standards. unfortunately I would have to take one or two stars from a former perfect restaurant.

I really enjoyed the care for details such as freshly baked bread, a selection of longdrinks & good wine. Although I wasn't a fan of every dish served, the chefs managed to convince me with their creative creations.
