Eliá Restaurant is a great little Greek restaurant located in a residential district south and west of the City Centre.

As you walk into the restaurant it feels like a classy place. The decorum is Greek but not over the top or too stereotypical. The staff all speaks good English, and they have English menus.

Our reservation was for 7pm and we were seated right away in a great table by the window. It was Easter Sunday, so we were given the regular menu and the special Easter menu.

They have an assortment of gin drinks, but we went basic with just gin and tonic. It arrived in a super-sized glass with a nice garnish. Perfect, simple, and delicious.

We ordered the appetizer sampler (listed as METRO) and WOW, it came out on a plate that was as long as the table! What a presentation. It had a sampling of ALL the appetizers on the menu. It was a great way to test out a little of everything. It was great but be careful, it is a lot of food!

The lamb meals were the winners of the four. My meal, Pulled Arni was a special. It lacked flavor and was a strange purple color. I would not get it again.

Overall, the experience was very nice. The service was perfect but for me the food (that I sampled) was not as good as I have had at other Greek restaurants. It is for that reason that I unfortunately must give this restaurant 4 stars. I would return to...

Everything was decent, but portions and authenticity were simply not there for the price point.

An appetizer plate contained fried pita bread and some dips... for €80...

Most dishes had homemade execution level with fine dining portions. I would be happy to get served these dishes at a friend's place but this is not what is expected from a restaurant especially at this price point - I can guarantee you can make a better meal if given a proper recipe and instructions.

Their menu is not focused, cutting it in half might imrove quality since they won't have to do so much prep.

Wine prices did not make sense either but that is a completely different story.

Service was alright. We waited too long for the entrees to come out (we were the first or second table that night). They tried to be attentive, but the problem is still the same - they are running it like a home-style cafe and do not provide a restaurant...

Original: "★★★ Nothing exceptional, but not bad either." Update: The owners actually tried to have this review, and many more, removed! The notification email from Google says that "The complainant argues that the assessment violates his personal rights" and will auto-remove it if I don't respond in 7 days. The owner has given this statement: "There is no business relationship with the Google user Harald Geving. It is probably a fake name. So lucky to discover this lovely Greek Restaurant on our 3 day stop over in Frankfurt. We ended up eating there twice. Our meals were both creative and delicious. I ordered a moussaka which looked nothing like the traditional one but it was truly amazing. So wish this restaurant was here in Australia we would be there all the time. Also service was very friendly and attentive, and lovely decor. Plus their cocktails were so good (wish i could remember what my favourite one was called, pictured) Thanks Elia Restaurant for being part of our wonderful travel memories.
