I honestly like the place a lot the service is good and the food tastes nice. But to be very honest, I was really disappointed with the pricing. For example, 4 euros for just one porota feels way too much. For that price, you’d normally expect a set of porotas, not just one.

We actually travelled all the way from Prague just to try Kerala food here, so we were really excited. I get that Frankfurt is an expensive city, but still, this was surprising. As soon as my friends and I saw the prices, we decided to stick with only a few items instead of trying out more dishes. The food itself was tasty, the quantity was okay, but overall it didn’t feel worth the price.

I don’t mind paying good money for good food , but I also expect to leave with a happy tummy, not half empty after spending quite a bit. Maybe if the portion size was bigger for the price, or the price was adjusted to match the portion, it would feel fair.

This is just a small suggestion from me please think about adjusting the prices of some items, especially porotas, so they don’t feel overpriced.

I really hope you take this as a positive review, not a negative one. We were excited to come and try your food and I’d love to come back and explore more from your menu, but right now the prices are the only thing that hold me...

We ordered food from Kumba Indian Restaurant for our son's third birthday party, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We ordered Biryani Rice, Appam, Chicken Roast, Mutton Stew, Gobi, and Veg Stew, and everything was ready on time and perfectly packed.

The food was authentic Kerala-style, exactly the taste we’ve always missed from our native Kerala. All our guests loved the dishes and couldn’t stop appreciating how tasty, flavorful, and well-prepared everything was.

This was actually our second time ordering from Kumba, the first was for our son's second birthday, and once again, they did not disappoint. The quality, taste, and consistency were excellent both times. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they provide.

We have also visited the restaurant several times with our family, and every time we’ve had a premium dining experience. The food is always fresh, authentic, and delicious, and the service is warm and welcoming.

If you are in Frankfurt and are missing the real spicy and tasty Kerala-style food, I highly recommend Kumba Indian Restaurant. It’s one of the best places for authentic South...

I recently visited Kumba Indian Restaurant (Wendelsweg 85, Frankfurt am Main) and ordered the following dishes:

Chicken Tikka Kebab (€17.90)

Garlic Naan (€9.00 for 2 pieces)

Malabar Beef Dum Biryani (€19.00)

Beef Roast (€17.90)

Kerala Parotta (€12.00 for 3 pieces)

Mango Lassi (€5.50)

Kulukki Sarbath (€5.50)

Lemon Soda Sweet (€4.50)

Kappa (€7.90)

Kerala Shaap Fish Curry (€19.90)

Taste & Quality: The Kerala Parotta with Beef Roast was quite good, and the Garlic Naan was decent. However, the rest of the dishes were disappointing, especially the Kappa and Kerala Shaap Fish Curry. The fish curry tasted like it was made with artificial food coloring and contained only four small pieces of what seemed like old fish, with an unpleasant heavy sourness. The kappa was bland and not fresh.

Pricing: The total bill came to €119.10 for just these dishes and drinks, which I find extremely overpriced for the taste and quality provided.

Overall Opinion: While a couple of items were okay, most were far below expectations, especially given the high prices. Personally, I would not recommend this restaurant. This review is purely my personal experience...

We had dinner with our families at Kumba Indian Restaurant in Frankfurt on 23 August 2025, and I have to say… this place surprised us in the best way. The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a little corner of Kerala — warm lights, cosy tables, and that familiar smell of spices that instantly makes you hungry. The staff were lovely. They weren’t just polite; they actually cared, chatted with us, checked in at the right moments, and made us feel at home. That alone makes a big difference. And the food… honestly, it was the highlight of our trip. The beef roast was incredible — proper Kerala style, full of flavour. The butter chicken was rich and smooth, the beef curry tasted just like the ones we miss from back home, and the Kerala porotta was perfect: flaky, soft, and warm. Even the rotti was good, and the kulukki sarbath was exactly what we needed. We all sat there saying the same thing: this place is special. It’s rare to find Kerala food this authentic outside India, and Kumba got it absolutely right. If you’re anywhere near Frankfurt, this restaurant is worth the stop. We’ll definitely go back.

Great Food & Amazing Service! We visited Kumba, a Kerala-style Indian restaurant, as a family of four. Honestly, we weren’t too sure about it at first, but it turned out to be a great choice! We started with the Chili Chicken, which was super flavorful and had just the right texture and right amount of spice. The Chicken Roast was bold, spicy, and exactly what we were hoping for. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy—one of the best we’ve had in a while. And the Chicken Biryani? Absolutely delicious! The rice was fragrant, and the chicken was tender and packed with flavor. To go with everything, we had Aapam, Kerala Parotta and Garlic Naan. Aapam was authentic, the Parotta was soft and flaky, and the Naan was fresh and had just the right amount of garlic. What really made our experience even better was the amazing service from Shubha. She was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated her hospitality! Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was even better. We went in with doubts but left really happy—and full! Definitely coming back.
