Pizza Hut Frankfurt — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I reluctantly made a reservation here, despite all the 1 star reviews and complaints of bad service but after tonight, I can safely say that 1 star is 1 star too many.

This is probably one of the worst Pizza Huts I've ever been to and I've been to Pizza Huts all over the world! The food was fine, what you would expect from Pizza Hut (although, they're a bit stingy on the toppings) but the service was comically bad.

I reserved a table for my birthday and got an email confirmation. Great. Except they forgot to reserve the place and the restaurant was full. Not a good sign. They didn't care and didn't believe I actually reserved, until I told them I got a Bestätigung (which they called a "Bestellung" - their German is worse than mine). They told me to wait 2-3 minutes but it was more like 10-15. No food or even a table yet and already the service was at rock bottom.

When it came to take the order, they didn't ask if we were ready or if we wanted drinks. They simply started taking the order, as dispassionately as possible. This guy couldn't care less if we were in his restaurant. After the order, I had to stop him from leaving the table, so I could order for a friend who was running late. He seemed annoyed and also didn't even seem to know what I was ordering, like he didn't know what was on his own menu. Uh-oh!

Well, surprsingly, we actually got everything we ordered, except for one wrong pizza, which, as you might have guessed, the server couldn't have cared less about. Actually, he even lied and said it was the right pizza, even though it was clear it was the wrong one (he called a pan pizza a classic). I'm still not sure if he thought we were idiots or if he was the idiot. Probably both.

What was really funny was when he brought 4 plates for 8 people and asked if it was enough, heavily implying he did not want to give out more plates. We said no, it is not enough. He looked annoyed and then gave us 5 plates. Now we had 9...???

As it was my birthday, I was really looking forward to getting a dessert but we never saw them ever again after the food arrived. I'm not talking about your normal German waiter disappearance. These guys were gone totally. We even had to go to the front counter to ask if we could pay! And when I did try to pay, he was completely confused about what we even ordered (wasn't it on the computer in front of him???) to the point that I asked for a copy of the bill. He said "später später später" and then just refused to ever print it out.

If all you are looking for is to get Pizza Hut pizza in a hut-shaped building with pizza in it, you'll get a decent version of that here... but these lazy and rude jerks don't deserve your money and don't deserve to run a Pizza Hut franchise. It's not like they were overrun or overworked: they just didn't care. If I could give them 0...

Wir sind gestern um 20:30 Uhr zu diesem Pizza Hut, um dort zu Abend zu essen. Wir hatten einen Groupon Gutschein 2 für 1. Wir wurden respektlos behandelt und vom Mitarbeiter rausgeworfen. Es fing schon beim bestellen an der Kasse an. Der Mitarbeiter war extrem unfreundlich und ungeduldig als wir uns überlegt haben, was wir essen wollen. Er hat genervt mit den Fingern auf die Kasse getippt und gewartet bis wir endlich bestellen. Beim Bestellvorgang war er auch sehr unfreundlich. Als wir nach dem Rechnungsbeleg gefragt haben, meinte er, dass er uns diesen nicht geben kann. Er hat die Bestellung bereits abgeschlossen. Die Extremsituation kommt jetzt: wir saßen am Tisch und haben auf unsere Pizza gewartet. Irgendwann ruft er, dass die Pizzen fertig sind. Ich habe sie dann entgegengenommen und war auf dem Weg zu unserem Tisch, als er gesagt hat, dass wir mit dem Pappkarton nicht im Restaurant essen dürfen. Ich habe ihn gefragt, ob er uns dann Teller geben kann, damit wir dort essen können. Er hat gesagt, dass er das nicht darf. Das Essen im Restaurant sei nicht in dem Coupon enthalten. Er hat uns wortwörtlich rausgeworfen. Ich habe ihm daraufhin gezeigt, dass er falsch liegt und dass in dem Coupon steht, dass wir dort essen dürfen. Daraufhin meinte er, dass wir ihm bei der Bestellung nicht gesagt haben, dass wir dort essen wollen, deswegen dürfen wir nicht im Restaurant bleiben. Er ist lauter geworden und hat und verärgert gefragt, ob wir dort essen wollen. Er ist die ganze Zeit mit uns umgegangen als ob er uns ein Gefallen tut, dass wir unser Geld bei Pizza Hut ausgeben. Was soll das? Also wenn wir dort essen und uns entscheiden den Rest mitzunehmen, ist das also auch verboten weil wir ja am Anfang gesagt haben, dass wir dort essen wollen??Die Art wie er mit uns umgegangen ist, finde ich einfach unglaublich frech und respektlos. So jemand sollte nicht in einem Restaurant oder Kundenservice arbeiten dürfen, wenn er keine Gäste haben will. Unter aller Sau behandelt sind wir gegangen und haben uns auf eine öffentliche Bank auf der Straße hingesetzt. Noch nicht mal Servierten haben wir bekommen, um uns die Hände sauber zu machen. Ich finde es eine Frechheit, wie wir als zahlende Gäste behandelt wurden. Der Mitarbeiter sollte zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden, da das bestimmt nicht zum ersten Mal passiert ist. Deswegen war der Laden wohl auch komplett leer und Pizza-Kartons lagen an den Bänken vor dem Restaurant weil sie Kunden dort bestimmt auch rausgeworfen wurden weil sie nicht direkt gesagt haben, dass sie dort essen wollen oder der Mitarbeiter ihnen gesagt hat, dass sie nicht im Restaurant essen dürfen. Er hätte ja vielleicht selber mal seinen Job machen können und fragen, bevor er die Leute aus dem Restaurant mit Arroganz rausschmeißt und laut wird. Ich werde den Vorfall bei Groupon melden, da Pizza Hut offensichtlich die Vertragsbedingungen mit Groupon nicht einhält, was Geschäftsschädigend für Groupon ist. Zudem hat die Pizza noch wirklich schlecht geschmeckt, aber das ist eine ganz...

Unfortunately I had to make the decision and rate this Pizza Hut, after having eaten here a couple of times due to the convenience of it being located so close to the Zoo, I think it is only fair to warn others not to waste your money inside this Pizza Hut location and to drive a bit further. The Pizza that is served here, is not up to the standard of what a Pizza Hut pizza should look or taste like. This restaurant seems to use its ingredients very sparingly, I am guessing to save money and make the most profit. There is hardly any toppings and those toppings are cut into tiny squares. If you want cheese, that is also used sparingly. The owners don’t seem friendly and it’s just not worth it. I can however warmly recommend the Pizza Hut that is located on the side next to the highway, when heading out of Frankfurt. Just don’t waste...
