Ristorante Fellini — Restaurant in Göttingen

Well I went there only once to have an experience after which I never went there again. Here is what happened : I ordered ''Pasta Arrabiata''. I received spaghetti with tomato sauce, completely tasteless. I called the waiter to tell him that I ordered pasta arrabiata and not what I am served. The waiter tells me confidently (probably because he thought I am asian and I do not know what it should taste like) that '' this IS pasta arrabiata''. I replied in surprise that this is not arrabiata simply because it is not hot at all, it is supposed to have pepperoni. Then the waiter got even more confident to tell me that '' NO pasta arrabiata is NEVER with pepperoni''. I was both surprised and offended this time. I brought the menu and showed him the description of the Arrabiata. Then the waiter went to ask the chef. Later he returned with a small plate of chopped red pepperoni. I was speechless to see that now I should eat pepperonis with my ruined pasta as a side dish. I did not eat my meal, I paid in full and never went to...

Went in because it smelled nice a couple of hours before opening. Boy, how this restaurant did not disappoint. The green pepper steak and the Mandus Primitivo wine were so good, they actually made me cry. I go to a lot of Italians, some best rated in Europe and this was really exceptionally good. The kids had oven gnocchi and spaghetti carbonara. We had tiramisu all three of us and I was tempted to try the homemade pannacotta after my tiramisu had I not eaten a huge steak with roasted potatoes, brocoli for 2 and a salad on the side. The decor is warm and authentic too and the (small) wine selection is simply one of the best I have ever seen in a restaurant without pretentiousness. What a surprise...

I arrived at 9:50pm with a hungry group of ten persons from overseas (México). The young manager (super german) refused to give us a table although the restaurant was still lively and 75% full. Google maps mentioned open until 0:00. But surprisingly he accepted a take away order for my 9 guests and he wanted literally made us eat in the street... What a strange experience. No clue about Italian hospitality and the bad image of German cuisine. At the end the great Italian chief worked overtime and realized a turnover of 250€ delivering great food... And imagine we were allowed to eat at the table from the brown take away bags. Qué pendejo ! He should work in Catanzaro south Italia to learn...
