Hüttl am Kreuz — Restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

For our early dinner, we visited Hutte am Kreuz for Urweiz and Dunkel (4 Euro each) and Beef with bread for 11.5euro (total 22euros inclusive of tips). The restaurant only operates 4 hours a day from 3pm to 7pm (what?!) and the owner was very nice – even wishing us an enjoyable holiday for the rest of the trip. As for the roast beef, it was indeed pretty delicious. The freshly grounded pepper elevated the dish along with the tender beef and crunchy onions. A great dish to go with the bavaria beers this evening.

Very cozy place. We went there after looking at the reviews and as it was very close to our accommodation. The place did not disappoint. The lady (owner) was very kind to us and such a charming person. We were there about an hour before closing, so she apologized and said only two soup choices were available. Of course, we took both! They were delicious. We had it with a beer each.

Excellent location, the best part of Germany! I was stationed (US Army) in Germany years ago and places like this have a spot in my heart. The “boss” (wife) wasn’t there, but the (husband) managed to get us a bier. Everyone was very friendly. Stop if you’re near. You will not...
