Having lived in Italy for six years, I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur of authentic Italian cuisine. It's with great pleasure that I share my delightful dining experience at Restaurant Pizzeria Renzo in Garmisch, Germany. This charming restaurant captures the essence of Italian culinary traditions, which is no small feat!
From the moment I tasted the Spaghetti Olio e Aglio, I was transported back to the quaint eateries of Italy. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the simple yet aromatic blend of garlic and olive oil was just sublime. The Farfalle Salmone was another standout, with its creamy sauce and perfectly flaked salmon blending harmoniously for a mouthwatering dish.
The Spaghetti Vongole was a delightful surprise, boasting succulent clams that were seasoned to enhance their natural flavors without overpowering them. And of course, the pizza—what an exemplary showcase of a crispy crust, tangy sauce, and fresh toppings! It's a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant.
I can confidently say that Restaurant Pizzeria Renzo is the best Italian restaurant in Garmisch. Whether you're a local, a tourist, or an expat missing home, this place is sure to impress with its authentic dishes and warm ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone craving a slice of...
Read moreExcellent food and service. So glad to find a place where the staff are pros..the service is quick and friendly but they never hurry you. They all seemed to be paying attention to the tables as to who needed or wanted something.. their attitude was also so refreshing these days, as you can relax knowing they are in control and knowledgeable about their extensive menu 😋. They also pay attention to details as to how to serve and plate each course.. Here is what we enjoyed: salad with calamari and shrimp, pizza diavolo, asparagus with schnitzel. For dessert we enjoyed the 'tri house specialties', which were tiramisu, chocolate mousse and panne cotta - all in one plate! Would return to eat here again, alas I am only touring this area and need to go to my next destination...

We were hungry and thought we would just grab some pizza at this family-friendly spot, the only sit-down place that we found open. What a great surprise! The service is excellent, we were greeted and seated with a warm welcome, and our waitress lovely, and spoke both German and English. And the pizza is delicious! We split a ham-marscapone-mushroom pizza, the toppings were quality and plentiful, bursting with flavors. The crust was absolutely perfect, just in-between a thin and thick crust, a perfect lightness that was filling but didn't leave us feeling stuffed. Loved this spot,...
