We went here as 4 people two times, the first time everything was nice. The next day, they told us at the door that it’s very busy and that we would wait and then get called inside. We complied; waited outside and then got led inside by one of the workers. He told us that we would either have to sit inside, where there were tables that weren’t booked, or sit outside at an inseparable table and half of it was used by other people. We preferred to sit outside, so we asked if anyone outside was leaving soon. The waiter told us that he couldn’t tell us exactly when someone would leave. Even though I told him that I saw one of the tables asking for the bill, he went off somewhere as I was in the middle of saying that. Soon the people at said table left, so we sat down. Another waiter approached us and asked in German if we had sat down there ourselves. I responded yes and asked him if this table was booked and if we shouldn’t sit here. He went away, talking to the other waiter who previously talked to us. I watched them from the table, and the waiter who was talking to us first made rude hand gestures pointing to our table, looking into our eyes, as if to say “What are you doing?” in an unacceptable way. I found that disrespectful and when he approached us I asked him if there is a problem. He told me that we should first wait outside and then be led by him to a table. I explained to him that since he left as I was trying to ask if anyone was waiting for the bill, we just assumed we could sit down at the table where people left. After some back and forth of the same conversation, he said that he would let us sit this time but that he wouldn’t allow it again. I asked him why; he repeated again that we should first be led by one of the waiters. Then I asked if this table was reserved. He said it is, but you can sit here this time. I told him that if the table was reserved, he should have told us that off the start and politely asked us to wait outside. Remind you, he had no sense of respect during this entire conversation which frustrated both sides. He then said then yes, this table is reserved, please wait outside. That was the final straw and we left the restaurant. This could have all been prevented with simple explanations and reasonable responses during the conversation. Maybe the language barrier had an effect on this, but I understood from his hand gestures and body language that he did not have any intention to be respectful to us....
Read moreDISAPPOINTED I was pretty skeptical to begin with since this place is a franchise but still decided to give a chance. When we first walked in we had to wait for a bit to be seated which i fine i guess but the place wasn’t even full. We ordered bruschetta which it was anything but bruschetta, just some unseasoned chunks of tomato thrown on a thick slice of un toasted bread, totally waste of money. Than we ordered Quattro formaggio a total disaster, some gooey stuff thrown on top half melted and sweet tomato sauce which made a touch weirder, we continued with Rustica one that it even got me sick to my stomach, it was clear the laziness that was put of making it and for the price of 16 euros, thats insulting. Service was mediocre also to say the least, inattentive and borderline rude. I had a beer also which was good but hey they had nothing to do with...
Read moreToday we came to have lunch, as we often visited L'Osteria everywhere we go. However today was a huge disappointment! The staff that served us was not honest at all!!! When we were to pay our meal, he secretly put 10% of tip on top of our bill then after we paid, we wanted to ask him why the amount doesn't seem right and why he didn't give us our receipt. He avoided us in the beginning then my husband forced him to come talk to us, he then accused that I pressed something on the credit card device, and the fault is on me which caused this 10%. I said, all I did was placed my card on the device then entered the pin with confirmation✅. He then started to act naive! Please train your staff well, a dishonest staff is definitely not what we would expect...
