Irish Pub — Restaurant in Grafenwöhr

Delicious! 👌 Husband and I visited Ireland about a week ago and we were having Irish Pub vibes withdrawals, so we stopped in to feed our need. We brought our two kids also so they got an idea of Ireland, and it did not disappoint - the ambiance and the decor definitely brought us back from the pubs in Ireland (I will however say they are missing the live band, at least for tonight when we went) 😊 but for my food I went safe and got the good ol Irish stew with garlic bread as recommended by our lovely server. My drink, I was back and forth on what yo get, I was hesitant to get a Guiness bc I swore I'll only drink it in Ireland, so I went with the Black&Tan (Guiness&Kilkenny) then dumb indecisive me wanted to change my mind to get a different drink 🤦🏻‍♀️ but it was too late since my drink was already being poured - all while trying to change it, our sweet waitress tried to see if I can change it, but was too late. As she handed my drink at the table she mentioned if I didn't like, I can have them swap it out, BUT nope to my surprise, Black&Tan actually tasted good. Anyways, my husband got a burger with Guiness, my daughter got the salmon pasta, and son got the kids pomodoro pasta. Overall we were happy and satisfied. 🤗 Definitely coming back for a date night 🤞 hoping for live music...

Cons: I order the steak sirloin but what I got what a cheap tough cut of meat for 34€, also steak is on a paper sheet so when you cut it most likely you’ll be eating paper with you food. Chimichurri, was extremely salty and tastes like it’s from a jar. The waitress was very not accommodating, which I guess this is what you get from Germany. Mash potatoes was cold and nasty, food was not hot, added sides of prawns and got baby shrimp that were frozen, on the menu it’s says home fries which I asked what were they and the waitress told me they’re fresh cut but I got frozen dried out fries. Looked at the menu and found it overpriced for simple bar food. Stood up to leave without ordering. Waitress asked why I'm leaving. I kindly stated the above. A tiny man popped up behind the bar to suggest I go to McDonald's. 6 months later figured I'd give it a try anyway. Walked in and sat at a table. The same little man whom I believe to be the proprietor scolded me and said " you just can't come in and sit where ever you want". I kindly apologized and waited by the entrance to be seated. I was ignored. A customer came in and the same tiny man peeped over the bar and was quick to offer him a seat. No reason to deal with a rude and cranky little man.
